We have reserved Palo at 7.30 on the Star Wars day at sea. It was the earliest time available, but I don't want to miss the Star Wars evening show and fireworks. What time does that start and can we still see that or will Palo take too long?

We've done 2 SW cruises(2017, 2019). They had the latest SW movie as the evening show, started at 8pm. The deck show and fireworks followed, started after 10pm. If you don't care about going to the movie at 8, you should have plenty of time, if they do it the same as previous years.

Thanks, I read a story somewhere of people spending 3 hours at Palo, that would be too long for us.

3 hours would be too long for me even if I didn't have something after. 2 hours is long enough for a meal IMO. I'd just mention to the server that you'd like to be out by a certain time and they will pace it appropriately.

Tell your server that you want to see the fireworks. That might move the meal along more quickly. Also, look over the menu in advance so you can order quickly.

Thanks for all the tips. We will keep the Palo reservation then and let our server know we want to be ready before 9.45.

A dinner at Palo will take as long (or short) as you want it. We regularly do 3-hour dinners there. But your server has a fair amount of control over the pacing of the meal and if you need to be out of there quickly, they can make that happen too.
