Would it be frowned upon for a man to wear say a polo shirt to dinner at Palo on the 3nt cruise? My husband will not be inclined to wear a tie. Just wondering if 3nt atmosphere was less formal.

Also, when do you learn your dining rotation? I plan to immediately make my Palo reservation upon boarding but didn't know if I would yet know my rotation so I could choose the best night.

How early does Palo open?

Thanks.

Palo does ask that men wear jackets, but I've never taken a tie on the Wonder. I just throw a light sport coat on over a polo shirt or button-down with no tie, and I've felt very comfortable.

You'll know your dining rotation as soon as you get into your stateroom. It will be included in the information left for you. I believe Palo opens at 6, but I'm not 100% sure.

So bottom line, would my husband be turned away or stick out if he wore a polo and khakis?

No, this is what my dh wore, and was not turned away.....

He also never felt out of place... :)

There was another post recently that listed a number of changes on DCL. One of the changes was that dress shirts would be REQUIRED at Palo and that gentlemen not wearing a dress shirt would be turned away.

The policy was posted on the DCL website (sorry don't have the link). I believe the change only recently went into effect.

It did not say tie or jacket required, but did say dress shirt.

I just read that the other day too but couldn't remember where I saw it. People have posted over the past couple months that they have seen this being enforced on The Magic.
