Palmer, from All My Children passed away today

James Mitchell died of COPD and pneumonia I'm trying to think of what Opal used to call him for a nickname, it escapes me. The cast will be so sad.

Me too! I don't watch the show anymore except for an occasional peek, but I did watch regularly for years and years in the '80s and '90s. I definitely watched the 40th reunion stuff, and I was so glad to see him on there.

RIP Palmer.....he was a great actor and dancer....I loved him in Oklahoma and as Palmer on AMC although at times he got on my nerves back when he was interferring with Nina and Cliff's relationship.

yes, a poster on pg 1 reminded me, she said "oh you ol coot", gotta love Opal.

Yes, it was LOVE BUG that Opal always called him. Sad, he was great on AMC! I was always hoping for an Opal/Palmer reunion. Another great one lost. Miss Myrtle, Pheobe and Mona. R.I.P.
