Is it worth it for dinner, compared to the other higher end options available at WDW?

If you like Italian, absolutely. We really like Palio. The food is very good as is the service. It makes for a nice relaxing dinner and is even kid friendly. I would definitely consider it in the "high end" category when it comes to WDW dining.

If you go once, It will become a part of every future trip. It has with us. Just a real nice place!!!!

I agree-especially if Italian is what you are looking for. It's among the more "adult friendly" spots in WDW as well.

Palio would not be my choice if I was going to do only one "high end" meal (that would be Jiko), but it is in my top 5 of restaurants at WDW. Great Italian food, nice wine list, beautiful decor in the restuarant and not terribly crowded (at least it has not been the few times we have been there).

Have to say we have not eaten there, but plan to on a future trip. A guy at work (an "amateur chef", very into food and cooking) absolutely raved about Palio. I read these boards a lot and even restaurants that people RAVE about also get negative reviews. I don't really recall ever reading negative things about Palio's!
