I just saw the menu for the Palio restaurant at the Swan/Dolphin. Everything looks very good! If anyone eaten there, can you tell me what you liked/disliked about it?
Thanks!
Also, is it ok to bring children there?

I know you want to hear from people who went there themselves...but I have to give you the next best thing....a recommendation second hand!
A buddy of mine at work (an excellent cook himself who is very knowledgable about good food) absolutely RAVED about Palio's.
He heard I was going to Disney next month and has told me several times to go. Unfortunately, just the way our schedule is falling, we had to eliminate it! (Too many restaurants and not enough time!!!!)
But, if this helps, we live in the New York area and are lucky to have a gazillion good Italian restaurants...and Palio's was good enough to impress him!
Good luck....have fun!!

We ate there in August and absolutely loved the food. There were 5 of us and no one had a bad meal! The ambiance is excellent and the violinist was great as well.

We thought it was excellent--definitely one of the best meals of the trip. I thought it was certainly on the same level as California Grill and Brown Derby (Brown Derby may be a little lower, but it gets points from me for atmosphere.)

Do leave a long time for the meal though...ours took around 1.5hrs, and we ended up having to have our comped dessert boxed so we wouldn't be late for Cirque! 2 hrs would be safe, I think...

As far as kids, I saw many children there (as everywhere in the World) and they all seemed to be having a good time. Probably if your kids could tolerate eating for that long, they'd be fine. :earsgirl:

We've dined there around 4 times or so and like it a lot. Children do fine there and the strolling muscians have a repetoire of songs just for them !

Our DD loved it - it was a welcome break from the hectic chaos that is WDW. The food was outstanding. They make a wonderful Alfredo sauce there - more familiar than what is served in EPCOT but more special than I can make at home or buy. The musicians played It's a Small World for DD and she was mesmerized!

We ate there in May for the first time and we loved it! We are having dinner there this Sunday night, on the first night of our trip :) I can't wait!

As for kids, the restaurant seemed kid-friendly. There was a family with several small children near us. The kids weren't a problem, but the over-wrought, loudmouthed mother was:rolleyes: She yelled at the baby throughout the entire meal:(
