I agree... I am fair as well but with rosy cheeks. When I tried on the ivories they made me look sallow. I thought Ivory would be the color but white looked best so you really never know. Try some on and take some pics so you can see yourself is my best advice!
Definitely take pics if they will allow you to! I didn't ask the first time I went to try on dresses until we were almost done... so I got to try on all of the dresses again to get a picture. When I got my 2nd gown, I made sure I took pictures from every angle so I could review it later. I'm sure most brides get a tad obsessive about their gown at least for a bit so you'll want the pics to reflect on once you get home.


That being said I tried on a white gown and it didn't make me look washed out. I ended up with a champagne colored gown that worked great with my complexion but the point is, you should try both before you rule anything out.
Please do! It always gets a laugh, especially when they realize it is an accurate description!
