Has anyone purchased a Pal Mickey ? I am going to Disney in APril for Spring break. I am taking my 8 year old son. It is his first trip! I am thinking about purchasing one to add to the "magic". Does anyone have pro's or con's?? I was wondering if there is a way to clip him to a belt loop, and if he is worth the money!

HUNDREDS of posts about Pal Mickey on these boards.

Use the SEARCH (near the top of the page) and type in "Pal Mickey" for instant answers (Did I mention HUNDREDS of replys?)

BTW, we love our Pal Mickey and he's made 5 trips with us in 2 years.

I like Pal Mickey, DS likes him too, he gets a little tired of carrying him around though so he's been riding on top of the stroller with me LOl We've only had him for tw days and he's already told me about something at AK that I've never seen before. He's going back with us from now on LOL

We purchased Pal Mickey when he first came out and have taken him back EVERYTIME because the stuff he says changes. It is truely amazing and I take it when it's just me and DH. I thought it was worth the investment and we paid $60 back then.

My boys, ages 6 and 10, both enjoy the Pal Mickey. I clip him to my belt loop and hand him over to one of the kids when wants to talk. It's fun waiting to hear what he will say next.

I am very anxious to see how Pal Mickey works! I bought two off ebay for the price of one. I plan on having "Mickey" give them wrapped to the kids on the way down. I wonder do you have to do anything with them when you get to the park?

I got a Pal Mickey for Christmas and am taking it to the parks with me this March...I think it will be a lot of fun. :earsgirl:

Thumbs up for pal Mickey!!!! Go look on Ebay....I purchased one for my DD for only $18 and she loves it. He's a great little addition...but don't spend $60 when u can get him for so little. We're takin him in Feb.! :earsboy:

We also got ours on ebay and I'm glad we did. My DS8 loved using him. DH or I wore him most of the time but DS like enjoyed the games to play while in the car or standing in line and hearing Mickey's giggle and message each time he vibrated in the parks.

Same question here: is it self-starting? I assume it just knows when it's in the parks due to the computer chip and can read the appropriate info?

Best souvenir I ever bought. When I get the Disney blues back home, I turn him on and ear his silly giggle and listen to him sing a song or tell a joke.

Plus he's alot of fun in the parks too! We,re bringing him back in a couple of days.

We bought a Pal Mickey over the summer and we loved it! My daughter couldn't wait for him to vibrate and tell her something. I think he automatically updates when you go through the turnstiles. It was really neat to take him to the different parks because he has things to say pertaining to each park.

We had to take Pal Mickey to the Camera Shop on Main Street when we first got there to get him updated. I love Pal Mickey, he always has interesting things to say!

Why? I thought his computer chips automatically updated.

BTW, we paid the $60 last February.

We had heard both, that he automatically updates or that you have to take him there, but we took him to the camera shop and they said that you are supposed to bring him there. It only takes a couple minutes and doesn't cost anything, so there was really nothing to lose.
