What are the Pros and Cons of Pal Mickey and can you rent him?

I do believe you can still rent him. We purchased him and have since brought him on our next vacation and plan to do so again this year.

He is pretty neat and tells jokes, kind of gives you a heads up for reminder times for parades and such. Tells bits of trivia and approx wait times for rides and where to find characters.

The only con I see is trying to remember to not leave him on a ride but you can put him in a bottle holder (like for water bottles, those lanyards around your neck) and carry him that way.

I think he is pretty neat.

Actually, they stopped the Pal Mickey rentals sometime late last year; December I think (just so I couldn't rent one on my trip). The new Pal Mickey will be out in early May and he is supposed to have new games and updated info.

I plan on buying one on my May solo trip. The cons are price, usability (do you go back enough to use it?), and possibility of leaving him/losing him.

Pros: He's mickey mouse, loads of good info , he is soo cute.....*i could go on for days*
Cons: Price ,leaving him on a ride or even the worst thing ever forgetting to bring him to the park

But i guess then he does get a hotel day for relaxation

I bought one in May 2004- I thought it was cool but I didn't feel like carrying him around every day. I was kinda scared I would drop it or lose it. When we went back for a short trip this past Dec., I took him but forgot to take him to the parks oh well at least he got to hang out at the Polynesian all day long.

I think I might sell him on eBay and buy one of the new versions this May. Did u see in the new Mickey Monitor, that if you show your AP they will give you an extra t-shirt for pal mickey when you buy the new version! That sounds so neat! -Steph
