I was just curious. We bought a Pal Mickey first thing when we arrived. He was great, although I hope they improve on the idea as the years go by. Like if I want him to tell me park hours, bathroom closest to me, etc.

How many of you have a Pal Mickey and what did you like and not like about him?

What would you change? Have you taken him multiple times?

Tell me all about your Pal Mickey!

I was thinking of doing this for DD. We are going in October. I too would like to know what everyone thinks. Is it worth it or should I wait and rent it for a day to see how it works?
I would buy it in a minute if it could tell me where to eat and where to pee!

After we took him once to each park, the novelty wore off and he stayed in the room a lot. What I liked best was that he announced shows/attractions that were about the start (like the INDIANA JONES STUNT SPECTACULAR at MGM).

But, yea, I like the idea of a "Tour-Guide Mickey!"

We enjoyed having him, and took him with us every day. We liked the way he informed us about the upcoming parades and shows, and the facts he gives out are interesting. My 6 yr old DD loved playing with him while we waited in lines, and everyone took turns wearing him clipped on our belts, so we never really got tired of carrying him around. Now that we're home, my DD plays his games quite often. Our favorite is "Is This Here?" where Mickey names off attractions and you have to decide if they are in the park that he mentions at the beginning of the game. It's fun to see if she remembers where everything was. All in all, for us he was a good purchase, and we will take him with us next time we go.

While standing in que waiting for ride or show we like to play the games with him.On the bus or at bus stop he is great to entertain the small one's and not so small one's.Corny jokes and all we think he was well worth the money.::yes:: :wave2:

I was thinking of renting one for a day, just to see what it's like. I don't really wanna put the $60 down on one of them since I won't be back to Disney for awhile after this summer. Does he say stuff at home, too? If I had created him, I'd have him constantly beg you to come back to the parks, because he misses you. :earsboy: :earsboy:

I wish that you could adjust the volume on Pal Mickey... sometimes he's too quiet and sometimes he's pretty loud :) He's lots of fun though... I love all the little bits of trivia that he tells you while you're in the parks.

He was really bought for our 2 dd's but REALLY it's for ME!

He's great to help you get through your wait for your ride (if you didn't do a FP that is)

I played w/ him on the ride home. I especially like "Is this here".

We like ours, my two dd's 7 and 9yo are sharing one and its worked out great. They take turns wearing him - we use a bottle strap and that works well for them. We bought him in Aug 03, returned with him in Nov 03 and just this past Feb of 04 and he seems to be "updated" each trip.

We like the hints such as - gmr has a short line right now and it would be a good time to try it. Or the parade is beginning, do you really want to get in line for ____ now?

Lots of cool trivia as well, I remember interesting information at AK like the yellow ribbons and bells on the trees and some neat info about the tree of life.

The girls like to play the games, at WDW and at home but the jokes can be sooo annoying!

I don't think I would buy him for just one trip, esp a short one but for a long trip or multiple trips he is fun. We also know of two families who are visiting this spring and summer so we plan on sending pal mickey "home" with them as well.

ps- the longer we have him/use him the quicker he seems to go through batteries. If you plan on buying pal mickey I suggest you bring alone some AA's - to avoid the high prices at the parks.
