Does anybody know the current cost of Pal Mickey. My son and daughter-in-law are buying one for my grandson. I also want one for myself. I haven't been to Disney World since my senior trip in 1981. My son has been a few times with his wife and her family. My daughter went a couple of years ago with my sister. This will be my youngest son's and grandson's first time. I can't wait. :tink:

You might want to take a look on ebay.. I recently sold one there and I know there were a bunch of the newer ones

I believe they are $60-65, though I haven't bought one so I'm not positive.

:mickeyjum Pal Mickey is an interactive Mickey mouse. I believe he is about 11 to 12 inches tall. While you are in DW he will tell you things that will be of help.

I adore the thing, hence my avatar. We paid $65 last year for him. Many people hate him, but i cannot imagine being in the parks without him. I have said it a hundred times on this boards but I still smile when i think of it....After getting off tower of terror, Mickey says, "That was fun, but next time can we take the stairs?" I nearly died! He also was scared of the ghosts at HM and didn't want to get wet at Splash. He is Disney Magic!

Where are these available at the park? Can we get one at the hotel or airport before we get started at the parks?

They USED to be able to be rented. I heard that ended a few years ago.

As for buying him, he is available in almost every store and resort gift shop. I did not see him at MCO, but I didn't actually look. You can also buy clothes and such for him (of course he has to have a new outfit every day silly!) And yes as an adult I bought the mouse the expensive outfits! At Mk he is just normal mickey with the shorts. At AK he has a safari suit complete with binoculars and At MGM (refuse to call in DHS) he wears the sorcerer like my avatar. Next trip he will get an Epcot outfit and probably a Halloween and Christmas one if they are in the stores. And yes, I am a sick person!

We love Pal Mickey, but you have to like his corny jokes (What do you call Pluto if he stays out in the sun too long? A Hot Dog....!)

Don't forget to pack him for your next trip (unless you want to see one of the saddest looks on your child's face ever - speaking from personal experience...)

You may also want to think about bringing three extra AA batteries, just in case. I'm not sure, but I think a pack a batteries at MK costs almost as much as the Pal Mickey!

Enjoy!

Thank you so very much for all your replies. If I wasn't convinced before, I am adamant about getting Pal now. He will be my first purchase, LOL. I don't care what others think. I am a big kid. One of my favorite gifts for Christmas was my Play-Doh, thankis to me begging my daughter. A few people have told me that when they grow up they want to be just like me. This just makes me smile.:goofy:

Ok, does anyone remember how much his outfits are? You are right, he needs at least one change of clothes!:smickey:

I seem to remember spending about 12 or 15 to dress my boys' ;) Pal Mickey as a pirate last summer. (Can you tell mom likes him too?)

Eeyore - Try checking E-bay. We got a gently loved new version. Other than no box, you couldn't tell. It also let the kids get familiar with him before we left. Get yourself a small carabiner because I found that works better to clip him than the clip he came with. As someone else said, don't forget the batteries.
