Anoyone know anything about Pal Mickey, the interactive park one, from actual experience? I read some reviews and it sounds like fun to have around on the trip.

My boys are 9 and 5 and we will be going to WDW 3 times between now and Thanksgiving. Any help would be great!

Also, do you know of any discounts for this little guy because he is quite expensive.

Thank You!!

We have one and my daughter was so excited to actually be in the park that she never played with the toy. She was so busy looking at everything around her, she forgot about the Pal Mickey. I played with it and it was hard to hear over the crowd/noise level.

We enjoyed ours. We took turns carrying it, and every time it vibrated - the kids would get SOO excited and hold it up to their ears to listen. It is very quiet.

My husband was the only one who didn't love it. He would be frustrated whenever we stopped to listen to Mickey.

We bought one for our 4 yr old son. We thought he would like it, but it was too loud and startled him. Our daughter, 6, liked it, but got tired of carrying it. It just became one more thing for me to carry.

Our Pal Mickey lasted one trip and I don't think he even made it out of the hotel room half way through the vacation. He is really heavy and talks constantly. If you wear him on your belt, he can be hard to hear. He's cute and they of course sell "outfits" for him but once he's home, he isn't very cuddly so my kids don't pay much attention to him. Plush Mickey gets all the love.

I loaded Mickey with fresh batteries. Now on our return trip do I need to stop and get him re-programed?:confused3

We bought a Pal Mickey this past December, and my 3 children loved him. He is a little bothersome to carry around, but my children insisted that we take him on our every move. We attached him to a lanyard and wore him around our necks. He walked the whole Magical World with us and is in almost all of our pictures. My kids (6,8,and 11yrs) would definitely recommend him. Be warned though, you find yourself including him in your head-count with your children ~ he is just to expensive to leave behind somewhere!

We love ours! Both girls got them a few years ago (thanks to some great deal posted here, we got them for really cheap!) and they've been w/ us ever since. Cute, interesting facts and my girls play w/ them ALL the time here at home, too - he says cute little things even when away from the parks and has a game or 2 he plays..... They can't wait to get him a new outfit this summer....

I found my particular one on ebay and paid about $45 with shipping. (still a little high to me) from what I remember they are $65 + tax in the park. I would have loved to find a great deal but I guess I didn't know where to look. He is very cute at the house and hopefully the kids will like him on our trip.

Well, on our trip 3/23-3/28 we bought him and LOVED him right away. My boys 9 and 5 did not even notice the lines because they played with him. My DH who usually doesn't get into that stuff would stop us all in the middle of a park and say HEY!!! Mickey is trying to tell us something. And we would all stop and listen. He went every day with us and the boys are "loaning" him to a friend who is going. He will be on our nexxt trip "Must Pack" list!

Df and I got ours in dec of 06 when we went and then took him back when we went at Christmas this year. We LOVE him! We take turns carrying him. He seems heavy the most when you are tired from walking around the parks all day. We would joke that he snuck some cheese when we weren't looking. Cm's make little jokes about him too. One time we layed him on our bags while a photopass person was taking our pic and she was like theres my boss laying on the floor. Or another cm asked us if we were having three for dinner and we said no only two. She said don't you want the mouse to eat? So they play along with it too and its lots of fun. Someone asked if you have to get him rebooted after you have him. They'll tell you to go sit on main street like right before you start walking down main street...that first building on the left has some type of antenna or something on top of it that sends all the new info to mickeys computer chip (inside his nose). We didn't sit there long enough so I think he didn't fully get all his info. They say about ten minutes but we were to excited to wait. hth :goodvibes

I am so glad your family loved him. We loved ours too. He has many memories attached to him. :)
