Pal Mickey

Has anyone ever gotten the Pal Mickey? My DH is starting to get into this trip as much as me. He asked me today about what I thought of it. So I said I would take it to the boards & see if anyone out there had any insight on it.

It's OK. I bought one but never brought it back. It gets to be a bit much to carry after awhile.

It's cute for kids though!

My children really enjoy Pal Mickey - we have bought him different outfits to wear and when we are waiting in a restaurant or in line for a ride he is a great distraction.

My DD loves Pal Mickey. We bought him several trips ago and forgot to pack him on the last trip. She wasn't too happy about that. Oh well...we'll remember him this time!

Our youngest DD bought Pal Mickey a few years ago, and still loves to bring him to the parks. We all love to hear what he has to say! There are games, etc. to do with him once you are home, too. We always have him "updated" for each
trip, so he stays current! He has been well worth the $$!!

Oh, he also comes with a strap/lanyard and a belt clip that we actually clipped to the collar of her shirt so she could always hear him well!

Yes.. Pal Mickey is fun!!
Yes.. He can get a little tedious to carry, but the positives very much outway the negatives.
Yes.. He works in every park, and says different things in every park.
Yes.. He is worth the money, It's Mickey Mouse for crying out loud!
Yes.. He is a great way to pass time in line, especially if you include other youngsters in line.
Yes.. No matter if you get him or not, you are going to DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(but I would get him)

Where do you purchase him? How is he updated?

We purchased him at that Main Street Cinema shop in MK. That is the same place where we have him updated also. I'm sure they have him in other stores, but we like it right there on Main Street USA!! They do sell cute outfits, and even the yellow rain gear for him! Too cute! Someone on one of these threads said that they would even replace his batteries, but I have never asked. Enjoy

I just checked my DD's scrapbook, and he was $56.00 in 2004, so he hasn't gone up too much!

He is available at all the parks, THe World of Disney Store and the resorts. You don't have to look very hard to find him.

They were going for $65 in 2005.

We were able to find him at the Disney Outlet Store and only paid about $30 for him - if you're planning to hit the outlets you may be able to save some money.

you can also get him mail order from the outlets, assuming they still have any. it's about $10 to ship. of course it'd be the older version, although it's functionally the same.

Three each, "AA" alkalines.

He doesn't "eat" them very fast, but its a good idea to bring an extra set or two, just in case.

If your Pal starts to vibrate continuously and not do anything else, he just wants a new set of batteries.
