Can anyone tell me what the 2007 Pal Mickeys looks like? :confused3 We are going in May and I want to get one for my son (3), I looked on ebay, and they have a few diffrent ones, but I would like to get the newer one.
Or should I just wait to get it on our first day?
Thanks for any help!

Since all of the resorts carry Pal Mickey I would purchase it as soon as you check in or you can also purchase them in the parks and at DTD. If you can I would get the new one because they change in information on them all the time to update them.

I have seen the new Sorcerer Pal Mickey sell for less on ebay than at WDW. If you can get him for less than $70 (he is $65 + tax at Disney), then I would buy him from ebay. Otherwise, you can wait and purchase him when you get there.

We are going to be offsite, but as soon as we check in we are going to DTD. I will get it then! I was kinda worried about getting it off ebay.
Thanks

Just my $.02 but I would NOT buy a Pal Mickey for a three year old. We bought one for my 5 year old and he had lost it (put it down somewhere) after the second day. Also you can't hear it or understand it. Finally, it is outrageously expensive. I would buy your child a stuffed mickey and one of those wonderful spinning things instead. You will have still saved money. Again, this is just my $.02.:)

I just wanted to drop you a line saying I couldn't agree more with Allaboutdisney. I always thought the pal mickey was cool. I had actually thought they would tell us like where to find a character at that moment, but it doesn't. Basically all it said was where things were located, once we reached that land. Something we already know like the back of our hand. I bought it for my 6 y.o., but she really has no clue how to play games, etc. The first mickey we picked up, didn't work and we had to exchange it. Personally, for that reason it would rule out pal mickey on ebay for us. As allaboutdisney said, it does get old carrying it around. I had tried to buy my daughter a child's pin laynard just hoping she could carry mickey better, but it didn't work. Sure, she could leave it in my scooter basket, but you have to remember to keep taking it out everytime we had to leave the scooter outside. With alllll that said, I don't believe we'll even take the mickey this year. :confused3

I'm new here and this is my first post but I was wondering if PAL Mickey is fun or worth it to have for us strange adults trying to be kids again(although I'm only 23). I was thinking of buying a little vest for PAL Mickey I had seen on ebay where you can put pins on the vest instead of using a lanyard. I was thinking of bringing my backpack type harness to carry him on my back which I got with my build a bear awhile back. So my main question is, is PAL Mickey worth it, is his advise and cuteness worth $65? Granted if I see one at Disney world when I go and it impresses me enough I'll probably buy one anyway. I was going to make it my only souviener aside from a resort mug.

I wanted a Pal Mickey for my autistic grandson's first visit to WDW, and I wanted to get it ahead of time. I checked out ebay, bid on a few, and finally won one for $35 plus postage. It was a leap of faith. I am thrilled with him! Mickey came without instructions so I emailed the seller, and he answered me back with the basics. This Mickey is dressed in a black satin jacket with a gold bowtie. His tag says Special Edition Happiest Celebration on Earth, but no date. He also has a very sturdy lanyard clipped to the back of his head. His "voice" is very loud and clear. He may stay in my bag until we deplane at MCO so we don't anger any passengers. Mickey will remain mine because I have younger grandchildren who will want to borrow him when it is their turn to make their first visit. I'm glad I got him, and I'm glad I did it ahead of time so I wouldn't waste time at the park trying to figure him out.
18 days and counting down.

We have the Sorcerer Mickey and we love it. I am just too much of a fan to not have one. The sorcerer outfit is removable, with Mickey's traditional attire underneath. DD loved it in the parks. He became her little friend. And at home I just adore him. Just to see him sitting there thrills me.:thumbsup2

I recently purchased a Pal Mickey from one of the Disney outlets in Orlando via phone. He was around $42.00, which included shipping. He's last year's model, but from what I learned from the DIS is that he will download all of the new info once we enter the first park.

Now I get to buy him clothes!

And for those of you who love Pal Mickey - there are a bunch of us who dress him up! Check out: palmickey.net We do gatherings at the parks (and now on the cruises!) There is even a (free!) Pal Mickey Club.

He's a lot of fun no matter what edition you have!
