PAL Mickey

I got one from e-bay for my 4yr old niece for our trip this past december- she could have cared less! :rotfl2: i ended up holding poor mickey!

i think if she was a bit older she would have liked it more- she is too young for the trivia etc.

but if you do decide to get one- check out the prices on e-bay---

We love our PM! :wizard: We're bringing him back with us this year & are planning on getting the new PM as well. The new version speaks louder & has more info -but we'll always love our first PM. My youngest DS usually takes turns with me carrying him in the parks. Take a look at PM when you arrive & see what you think. He's available throughout the parks & resorts.

I just heard about him this past weekend so there is no way that I can order one off of eBay and get him here to Olympia WA before our trip on Monday.

With a 3yo and a 16mo in the stroller, I thought he'd be a good toy to keep them occupied.

On our trip last April I was dying for one. Our first morning there I went staight to the gift shop at our hotel and purchased one.
My DH tried to talk me out of it asking did I really want to carry PM around all day.
I answered "YES!" so he came the 3rd member of our little group. Well, about an hour into the day my husband was right and he was promptly handed over to DH to carry.
After about 15 minutes of complaints I noticed the biggest smile on his face. Lets just say Mickey never left my husbands hands for the rest of the trip.
Kids of all ages will love him my 39 yr old did!!

ONLY IF YOU WANT IT TOO

You will end up carrying it more than 50% of the time, so you better want to have some fun with it, or it will become an albatross around your neck...

But if you want it, it is a blast!

also be sure you really want to spend that kind of money if no one is going to want to use it! ;)

We bought one on our last trip in '03 and absolutely loved it. He really was great fun, but I think kids do need to be a bit older to appreciate it.

Take a bag tho that you can put him in to stay dry if need be.

He's been sitting on our couch in the living room and we still go in and play with him occasionally!

Is this a good investment?

Would the kiddos like it?

Thanks!

who cares about the kid... get one for yourself... :teeth:

Only Goofing of course...

I bought one for my son (6) on the first day of a 15 day trip... He loved it and carried it half of the time. The other half I did (I was happy, my next trip I get one for myself). We didn't take him to the park every day though...

I love PAL MICKEY

Me and my DH got one half way through our last trip. My DH thought we would look ridiculous being 2 adults and a doll. We got PM anyway.

We had a lot of fun with him. I just clipped him on to my messenger bag. He didn't bother me at all.

We look forward to bringing him back in Aug.

So he does have a clip? Is it on the back of his head? What kind is it? I believe I am going to be carrying one of the baggelini messenger bags, I am guessing he would hook on there fine so I would not have to carry him? I will have two preschoolers whose hands I will need to be holding but love the idea of having PM to pass some time.

I love my Pal Mickey. I bought a laynard and connected him to the laynard so he would not slip of my lap when I rolled around the park. He was awesome. I came home and shared all of the new jokes with my DH. :mickeyjum

LOL! I realize I forgot to mention DD#1, who is 8 years old.

So I have 3 DDs who will be going. We're taking a double stroller so we should have somewhere to keep him.

Plus if he talks then the girls will probably like him too.

I'm debating this myself. I will have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and I kind of like the idea of bring him along on each family trip. My DH will balk at the price tag though. I might have sneak off and get one while he isn't looking! I'd probably just stick him on the stroller.

I lost pal mickey in our move, my dd 6 has been looking every where in the house for it. She wanted to take him with us for our Aug. trip. On Saturday, she came down stares screaming with joy, she found Mickey in one of my dresser drawers upstaires she now has Mickey on her bed. I just thought I would share this story, I thought it was so cute.

Yes, we love our Pal Mickey.

We have had our PM for about 3 years and love him. We take him on every trip and the boys ( 15yo and 9yo) take turns holding him . The jokes are a great way to pass the time in line!

The pm I bought in 03 had a clip, I think on his head... I attached it to bag easily. Had ds2 w/me and had no problems. He loved it even then. Cant wait to use it next month!!

Check on ebay for cheaper prices.

But be sure to get the newer version with the Tuxedo. The old version is known to be hard to hear and cannot get all the new info. on the newer rides.
