Just thought I'd let everyone know who planning on purchasing a Pal Mickey, they take 3 - AA Batteries and you will have to replace them at least one if you are their for a week.

good to know about the batteries. My friend is going to let us use hers when we go. My question is, what do you do with him when you go on some of the faster rides. I would hate to leave him in the stroller only to have him stolen or lost.

Bring extra batteries with you. Batteries are incredibly expensive at WDW.

Does anyone know if I can get one in advance out in calif? I was thinking of getting one as a surprise for DW, but I can't find it online. should I just buy one when we get there?

My oldest daughter would hook him to her pin lanyard just in case. We also carried a backpack so sometimes he would ride in there- good for water rides as well.

The volume is much louder in the new model. We also have the old model. I have not had to change batteries yet in the new Mick. For fast or water rides, Mickey rides is my purse!
