I know there has been tons of threads on this, but I can't find exactly how much it is to buy a new one, the most up to date version and if I can buy it ahead of time, can someone help me out?

Best suggestion is looking on EBAY for the "50th pal mickey" just make sure he is in the suit... Disney sells that for alot of money but some people get them direct and sell them for much less

you can also go through a local company for Pal Mickey. On the website it doesn't show the new picture though.

OK - I've been to Disney many times but I don't know this. What is a PAL MICKEY? I feel clueless. I'm going with my 2 little girls for the 1st time and I am using the board to learn all the tips and tricks. Thanks.

ok - I have now made it my mission to find 2 of these PAL Mickey's.

My question is: Is there a big difference between the old and the new? I know the new one comes with the tux. Are the phrases different or the games? Has anyone had both and have a preference? Thanks.

I've heard from many a Diser that the main difference between the two is that the newer one is programmed for all of the rides, whereas the older version doesn't have info on the attractions that just came out (Soarin' etc.). Also, the newer one is supposed to be louder.

I was hoping to find the older ones for a decent price, and get one for each of my kids. But, even the older ones are going for $40+ on ebay. I may just get the newer one for one of my youngest as a b'day gift..since I know he's young enough to still share without a problem.

That's a great idea! My youngest will have just turned 1 the day before we go. That could be a great B'day present for her. My husband kind of poo-poo'ed the idea of PAL mickey becasue of the price. But if its for her birthday present, he can't deny that to her.
