Pal Mickey...would You Reccomend?

My son is 7 and LOVES his stuffed animals. I've read a little about Pal Mickey. I know he's a bit expensive ($60) but if he is as fun and amazing as he sounds it would be worth it for me to get it for him ...just to see the look on his face and the enjoyment Mickey would bring him...the ultimate souvenier...

for those of you who have purchased Pal Mickey....

does he still talk after you leave Disney? ( I know he can't "escort you around the park" anymore after you leave....but does he have phrases or is he mute when you get home?

How did you or your kids enjoy Pal Mickey at the Park?

I need some advice...all opinions count....

At Christmas he went to Build A Bear and built a "cat" oh my gosh...he was talking to him like he was real and takes such good care of him. It's so darn cute!

Our 5-year old loves his Pal Mickey! And, yes, Mickey still has his jokes and games when away from the parks.

The only problem we had was that I developed the Pal Mickey stoop... Our son couldn't really carry it well so I had it on a lanyard around my neck. Everytime Mickey would giggle, our son would grab it and pull it down to his ear level which would cause me to have to walk around in a stoop!

I read somewhere on the boards that a new version is being released this coming May. Can't wait.

While I think the idea is cute, I feel they were a waste of $ for my kids. Simply because I end up carrying all 3 pals so what good does that do? My 9yo did get a little more into it this trip wanting to know what mickey says but my other 2 kids didn't give a flip.

It is cute but its expensive and my then 7 year old got tired of holding it pretty fast and it ended up in the backpack. On our trip this past October she didn't even bring it.

Every child is different though and some love it. Also, I've seen some adult carrying around their necks or on their hips because it was theirs and they loved it!
