Pal Mickey-worth it?

I'm new, so bare with me. We'll be making our first trip to WDW 8/28-9/4 with our ds who will be turning 4 while we are there and our dd who will have just turned 1. Is the Pal Mickey worth the money? Will it help us out while we are there? I want to try to do as much stuff while we are there because I know we won't be going back for three years. Any info would be helpful.

Yes, yes, yes! We bought one (and I think you still can) for much less from character warehouse (I think the site is on mousesavers.com). It is last year's model but still gives all the same feedback as the new one. We bought it for our grand daughter for our next trip but used it first on our last trip. My husband and I were fighting over it. He won though because he can pout better. It was full of great info and was just plain fun. It tells you when there are parades soon and even told us to take a short cut through Epcot to get to Test Track when we were racing through there when it opened in the morning. I was sad to give it away (although I'm sure my grand daughter will share). We even thought of buying another one. You have to know how cheap we are that we actually bought the first and it was money well spent.

Yes! I got my son one of the first ones that came out (which got stolen) and he loves them. After the 1st got stolen, I bought another...then traded for a older model (he liked the older model better). Then this year I bought him one of the new Pal Mickey's (few new jokes, songs, and new info on new park rides). It would be hard to imagine going to the parks without him. AK is the best park to take him to (the most interaction...tells about the animals in exibits and a lot of other stuff).
