Pal Mickey.....What did you do with multiple kids?

Hi again.

I'm seriously thinking obout getting Pal Mickey for our next trip. I've read so many good things about it, and I think my kids would LOVE it.

So...my question is for those of you who have more than one child. Did you get each child his/her own Pal Mickey, or did you just share?

I'm having a hard time picturing my four sharing a Pal Mickey. It's just not in their nature

I've toyed with the idea of buying the older Pal Mickey's for each of them. Or maybe just buying one newer one, and getting the older ones for the other three, just so we do have one updated one. The kids won't really know it's much different, except for the clothing. Or should we just share one, and endure the arguments over whose turn it is to hold him.

I just wanted to get your thoughts on how this was handled with you and your kids. Thanks.

We only have 2 DS's but we battled the same delima a while back so instead of getting them for the kids my DH bought one for me. That way it was my pal mickey and when the kids got to carry him it was a treat because they weren't sharring their toy they were getting to use mine. There was a little bit of fighting in the very beginning but that was quickly steeled when I told them then I would be the only one to carry my toy and play with him. By the end of the trip the two of them had worked out a system of sharring.

We have 2 kids & bought 1 Pal Mickey. They took turns using it. A turn lasted 1 full day. That way, we didn't hear, "Is it my turn yet?" all of the time. One day, ds carried it all day. The next day, dd carried it all day. This worked well for us.

Anyone know if the old Pal Mickeys are still being sold at the outlets?

If so, you can get 2 for less than the price of a new one.

My GF loaned me her's and honestly I am SO Glad I didn't get one myself. It didn't talk loud or do anything great IMO. My girls bored of it the first day. I did the second day.

Goofy4...There was a thread maybe Friday night or so about Pal Mickey, and a Diser shared an outlet that let you order over the phone. It was around $13.99, plus shipping. That's why I'm even considering getting one for each.

Thanks for all your suggestions so far. I'm glad I have several months to ponder this decision, but I knew this was the place to ask.

We give our kids a set amount of money and, the older two decided they didn't want to spend a large portion of their money on it. My youngest liked it so, we used his money on one. When he gets tired of playing with it, an older sister carries it...then when she gets tired of carrying it....etc..
