Pal Mickey toy-have you bought or rented it?

Hi. I just saw on another board about since March there has been a new interactive toy called Pal Mickey, that can be rented or bought and as you go through parks, it will vibrate and press his tummy and he tells you something about that particular area.
Has anyone rented it or bought it?

Of course I'm a big 35 year old kid, so I've got to have one of those. I'm sure DS11 will pretend he doesn't know me.

Apparently today is the first day they are available. I know a DVCer posted that OKW will have them first and then other resorts will have them available.

Don't know how soon they will be for sale at the parks.

But the cool thing is is that it's reusable. If you buy one and then bring him back on the next trip, it updates itself on re-entry to the parks, supposedly.

Stay tuned as I am sure we will hear more about it in the coming weeks.

Have any of you seen this toy? Does it have a clip or somethig to hook onto your clothes, belt something? It sounds so cute I would love to get one, but can't imagine having to carry the thing around the whole day. I bet a lot of kids would loose them if there wasn't some way to attach it to yourself. I would probably loose it.

yes, i think pal mickey is a must, whether my dd wants him or not!!! but i'm sure she will.

i'm off to the cbr in june, so lets hope there's still some on sale by then, i suspect they will be very popular.

hopefully the reports will start to come through soon, about folks using him in the parks.

If Pal Mickey always knows where he is in the park, don't you think that might mean that security always knows where YOU are in the park???

I wonder if, although this is nice for "touring," it could also be an added security measure?

That is SOOOOOOO neat!!! I'm usually pretty tight with a buck, but if they're available when we head down in December, I'm going to HAVE to get one for my granddaughter.. I'm sure it will really enhance the trip for her..

I was kind of surprised at the price too.. Not that bad really..

It's not as large as I was thinking it would be. That's a good thing. I wonder if there's a way to clip it to a backpack or fanny pack so that it doesn't get lost.

My daughter bought me one last Tuesday when they first went on sale. The kids had a great time with it in the parks. Now that the kids are gone, we are having a great time with it.

Pal Mickey does have a clip on him so you can clip him to something. It is recommended you clip him to a beltpack so he can receive the waves from both the ground and air.

You do have to hold him to your ear to listen to him. He doesn't want to disturb those around him.

If you rent one, it's $8 per day. If you buy it, it's $50.00 (this price includes tax)
