Does anyone know of any discount on the Pal Mickey? I noticed they are listed as being sold at resort gift shops and at the parks, where I am not aware of any discounts being offered. I think I qualify for a slight(10%) discount on purchases of $25 or more at Downtown Disney(World Of Disney store), and could purchase Pal Mickey there if they sell them. Does any recent returnees know? I was thinking of surprising my youngest daughter with one(ok, she's allowed to play with him, but he will belong to me!)

I'm not positive, but I think I remember someone else posting that Pal Mickey is not eligible for discount anywhere.

They are sold at World Of Disney (DtD). Don't know if they are an exception to the 10% discount though.

Are they sold at epcot. Maybe i can get one the day i get the candlelight processional package. I heard you can shop in epcot that day for a ten% discount.

I thought I would post the answer to my own question upon my return. The only store that sells Pal Mickey at Downtown Disney was Once Upon a Toy, and no discounts of any kind are given(I did ask). He is sold at all parks and resorts as well, but I don't think there are any discounts given at either of these places, either. Funhouse8 may have hit upon the only way to get a 10% discount on him(candlelight processional package discount at Epcot), but that is assuming the shopping discount will still be given to package purchasers. I hope this info helps someone.

I just booked the CP for Dec. and was told that there's no lanyard or discount this year. Bummer!

If you were lucky enough to stay at the DVC during the sumer you were given a coupon for a free day or $8 off the purchase price. I didn't look in my envelope of papers because I have stayed at my DVC so many times. I found the coupon when I came home. Maybe someone has one left and would be willing to give it to you.
I am going back to WDW on Sept. 19th and I will buy my Pal Mickey then. I can't wait to play with him. I am 49 but refuse to grow up when it comes to Mickey. Peggie

Just got a my pal mickey off ebay for $42.00 not to bad after shipping still cheaper then at disney +tax...

I have two 6 year olds. Two Pal Mickeys are just too expensive. Has anyone had experience sharing one with two kids? Is it something that can be shared, or would each kid need their own? The way my kids fight over everything, it might just be one more stress point. I'd like to order one in advance and surprise them with it when they arrive in the room. However, I understand they're activated upon shipping and no refunds? At least if I bought it in the park I'd have some place to take it back to. And, sorry to say, Disney stuff is a bunch of junk! It looks cute, but everything I've bought my kids at the Disney Store has fallen apart and I've ended up taking it back. Its to the point where I'm embarassed to keep returning items so I go to different stores. They should be embarassed to sell such junk. So I'm a little leary of such an expensive toy from an unreliable source. Anyone have trouble with Pal Mickey not working? Could you return him at the park?

has made three trips to WDW and back and is still going strong. Because the parks can be noisy, many times you will hold him to your ear to hear him well. You can push his hand multiple times to hear what he has to say, so they should be able to share. The only thing I have specifically heard is not to get him wet! I would also say that he is a sophisticated toy. If you throw him to the ground, he will break!

There is no real "activation" He operates on double A batteries and all you have to do is turn him on. While his away convesations are limited to his programing, his WDW conversations can change on each visit.

I want to offer a response regarding your comment of Disney stuff being junk. I have been going to WDW for over 20 yrs and have found Disney to be most benevolent in "fixing" any problems that have arisen and they have been few.

While I openly have disagreed with the type of merchandise sold by the Disney Store over the past few years, I believe they have always stood behind what they sold.

These comments are not made to start this thread down a dark road, just a response to your post.
