Pal Mickey - OK if you don't have kids?

My sister and I will be going to Disney in November. The last time my sister went was when Epcot was under construction. Needless to say, a few things have changed in the world. I've read a few minor things regarding Pal Mickey and it sounds like a hoot. Is Pal Mickey geared for childern of all ages? Can you buy him ahead of time and have it waiting at your resort upon check-in?

The two children in our household, ages 55 and 57, have had a wonderful time with Pal Mickey. Even at home, when we squeeze his hands he tells a joke. I do't know about having one waiting for you at check-in, but we bought ours at the AKL giftshop. I'm sure he is stocked by all of the Disney hotel shops. Get a Pal Mickey; you won't regret it. Just make sure someone shows you the off and on switch. Until a CM showed it to us we thought we had a really dumb Mickey. LOL

Pal Mickey can be purchased at any resort gift shop...
gonna run you $50.00 tax included i think...

It's good to hear we won't be the only adults no children with a pal Mickey. When i told DH about this his first reaction was we gotta get this and why bother renting big words from a frugal man. He is also the one that was showing off his Talking Stitch in the laundry room Xmas Day. I figure that dealing with pal Mickey's corny jokes won't be any worse than my DH jokes and i kept him for 17yrs so far.

My mother is the most cynical non-Disney person I have ever met. She came along with us for vacation this year and had to 'suffer' WDW for a week. Not the best person to bring on a Disney vacation but that's a whole other story....

We bought a Pal Mickey for the kids and one day in Epcot, my ds stopped to look at something and handed PM to her. We were strolling over the bridge heading to Canada when he started to vibrate. I explained that you had to press his tummy and he would tell you something. She duly complied and told us all the fun facts about Canada- we next hit France and PM vibrates again. I nudged dh and we looked back to see Ms-cynic repeatedly squeezing this little plush toy and listening to him. We got such a laugh out of that one!

She thought it was a great idea, and recommended it to my brother who is visiting this week!

Hubby and I bought one (for the kids on our trip together ) last time we were there. We LOVED him! He is for everyone who is YOUNG AT HEART! Even my husband got a kick out of him. I had read a post about hanging him from a bottle strap, which we did, and it worked out really well. You have to lift him to your ear in the parks to hear him well, so this saves you from unclipping him and reclipping him all the time. You will not regret purchasing him !

Mickey is about 10" tall. I did not find him overly burdonsome at the end of the day, but did find that I would hold him in the crook of my arm when walking back to the parking lot. If you are walking quickly, he will bounce around if he's hanging from a bottle strap. He does come with a clip, however, and you could clip him back onto your waist if you got tired of him around your neck.

we bought one and i ended up having to share it with the kids...pal mickey is alot of fun and can be helpful to the disney "newbie" that may not know alot of the in's and out's of a trip to the world...

Two more "adults" here who will proudly tour the parks with Pal Mickey! I am buying one for my 3-year-old nephew and one for DH and me.
