I'm a 37 yr old converted Disney lover. I did not believe in vactions, never mind WDW. My DH has made the "magic" come alive in me. I believe in pixie dust!!

I've been reading about Pal Mickey, it sounds so CUTE!! DH & I have taken a few behind the scenes tours, and we love Disney trivia. Is it worth the $ for someone my age?

I want to be WDW young forever, will this help??

Yes! My wife (37 years young) loves ours, and we both feel it enhances our trip to WDW. Our kids (DD 7 and 10) love it too! Go for it!

We bought one for our 3 1/2 year old son - he loved it, but probably would have been just as happy with a regular Mickey doll. I carried Pal most of the time and loved him (I'm 34 by the way). We had 6 adults in our group and everyone wanted a turn with Pal, espcially my mom (who's 51).

We used our Disney Visa reward dollars to buy Pal, but if you're not sure about spending the money, why don't you rent him for a day. They will credit the rental amount toward your purchase if you decide to buy him.

Pal Mickey is mine, and I'm 43. I was nice and allowed my sons to hold him and hear him while we were at the park, I shared ... but ... I mainly bought him for me and he lives beside my bed with my big teddy bear here at home!

we got one also. my daughter is 21 and loves it. it was great to have at the parks and the fun continues at home. pal mickey will be heading down to WDW again next summer this time in the hands of my 20 yr old son, who by the way tried to down play poor ol mickey when we first bought him but was plenty quick to make mention of him being on the packing list for our 05 trip.

Hi.

I travel with 2 other ladies at least once a year to Disney and we each have our own Pal Mickey. Ages are 2 in the 30's and 1 in the 50s.

We're such big fans of Pal Mickey that the 3 little guys do go out with us at home from time to time for dinners and clothes shoppng. Our little guys have quite the wardrobes.

I was just down to Disney a few weeks back and my Pal Mickey had a change of clothes for each day. The pity is due to the weather he only was seen in 4 of his 6 outfits *grin*

We have a blast with him and even my hubby gets into it by suggesting things. It's because of him that I bought the 1st of Mickey's Halloween costumes, he now has 3 costumes.

I hope that if you get one that you have as magical time with yours that we have with our 3.

I'm 55 years old and I have a "Pal Mickey", I love my pal.

I don't think that there is an age group for him :)

What !!? They sell clothes for Pal Mickey - where?!! I bought Pal Mickey when I had the whole family (ages 5 mos - 50) down for my birthday - everyone loved him - we'd pass him around whenever he shook so everyone could give him a squeeze and hear what he had to say - of course I got to carry him around hooked to my lanyard! By about the 4th day at AKL he just kept shaking and shaking (he had the most to say there) - I was a bit worn out (yes, grouchy) and actually turned him off for a while  . But here at home he has a place of honor in the den and the kids always go right to him and start him up when they come over. How much fun if they had clothes to put him in for the seasons !! My little nephew (almost 7) can't wait to bring him down in Dec. :smooth:

Thanks to everyone that has replied - my husband has given in to my demand of a Pal Mickey!! If he reads these posts, he'll have to set another budget so I can buy Mickey some outfits as well.

Mickey cant just have 1 outfit to go around town in LOL!

Thank you!!

I'll be there soon MICKEY!

Hi bjakmom,

I've been meaning to set up Mickey's page on my geocities pages and finally tossed (yess in like a matter of minutes) a journal from Mickey.

I've included some pictures of mine dressed and I have the link in the text to the Pal Mickey Fan Club which was started by a nice lady named Taswaria (i probably just spelled it wrong) but she does post around here too. Give her site a visit.

I'll add more pictures of Mickey dressed as a vampire, sitting in his new chair and a clearer pic of his safari outfit hopefully tomorrow. For now I just want to read and relax before work tomorrow *big grin*

For us (me and my group) Pal Mickey is a blast! We love having him around both at the parks and at home. When we're out and about we keep our eyes open for things for him.

As of now Disney has not done anything for clothing for him a big mistake in my opinion but I'm sure the stores all of us are now finding things for him in are sure glad they haven't.

When you get to Build a Bear you might see the Disney outfits (online and for halloween a few of the stores have a few outfits). They will not fit Pal Mickey, I had hopes but I have bought 3 since I will be getting a Build a Bear plush for my birthday and with the outfit in hand I see others were quite right they are way too big which is a HUGE bummer! cause how cute would Mickey be dressed in Buzz Lightyear? I really wanted that oufit to fit him but *big sign* it doesn't.

By the way, I could go on and on about Pal Mickey I'm like a parent with a brag book when it comes to him *big grin*

Edited because I forgot the link..

I am glad to see other grownups excited about the pal mickey, I plan on purchasing one when I get there on Nov 2, even if my 11 year old son doesn't like it I just know I will.

Thanks dianeL !!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Looks like I'll have to get creative! I'm going to copy the idea for a photo album featuring Pal Mickey in WDW like the one on the fan club site - My little nephew loves (and begs!) to take his own photos and it would teach him how to set up his shots!! I'm going to try to make one of those mini-lanyards with pins for Pal Mickey, as he is also learning to love pin trading with me - that is just too cute !!!:smooth:

Your most welcome! I just added a picture of him dressed as a vampire, the pants are from Beanie Pals or something, a friend bought as part of a Tux outfit but the jacket and shirt are tight so I used the pants which is still very tight! but not like i'm changing him daily ;)

I just added a page with just the link to the pictures you can see just the newly added or in this case the Vampire *g*

Good luck with the lanyard. I haven't made one yet and he gets ribbing from his "cousins" over his princess one *grin*
