I have three vouchers for complimentary one day rentals for DVC members that I did not use. I would hate to throw them away if someone else could use them. I will mail them to the first three people that PM me their mailing addresses.

The certificate expires on 9/30/2003. Each family is only permitted one free rental this summer. You will still need to put a 50 dollar deposit down when you pick up Mickey and you return your voucher and show your DVC member card when you return him. If you are staying on points than you will receive this certificate when you check in so you would not need this. So if you are staying at a nonDvc resort or on cash, you can use this for your free rental. Rental locations are listed on back and include most but not all resorts. The card does not mention money off towards actually purchasing him but others have reported doing this.

(I sent all three vouchers- hope you all enjoy him!)

Yes, if you purchase Pal Mickey instead of renting for the day, you do get the discount. I went into the general store to rent Mickey for the day, family wouldn't come with me, they thought it was stupid. When I saw him, and heard a demo at the counter, I had to purchase him, figuring I could give him to one of the youngest family members for Christmas. We hadn't left the resort parking lot before my 17 and 15 yr olds who stayed in the car because it was stupid, were in love, and insisted that the 3 year old cousin would not be receiving Pal Mickey for xmas, and this was before Pal Mickey even had a chance to show off in the park. I hope everyone takes advantage of this trial offer and falls in love again.

We used the DVC coupon and rented Pal Mickey, but were disappointed. Our 3yr old thought he was cute to hold, but as soon as he started vibrating or talking she passed him back to DH or myself.

Pal Mickey was extremely hard to hear in the MK because of the number of bodies present and the noise level. He was easier to understand in Epcot, but had less to say.

He was stolen along with my daughter's pin trading back pack at the beginning of our 2nd day of rental.....so in fairness we didn't get a good time trial with him. Disney gave us back the full refund when we reported his kidnapping. We were thrilled about that. We didn't get him or the backpack back....but if he ever is recovered.....they'll know it was ours because it was registered to us and my cell phone number.

We might rent him again, but we wouldn't purchase him just yet.

I had a great time with Pal Mickey (and yes, I own him. He is watching me type!)

At the AK Pal Mickey chatters non-stop. Personally I think Disney geeks like me like him more than the kids. He might be a little hard for 3 year old to use since you have to give his stomach the push.

I did not go to MK. (Not my favorite park) But I had him the weekend of July 4th and had no problem hearing him. Just so you know if you miss what he says you can punch his stomach again within 5 seconds and he will say it again. (One of the CMs told me he took his Pal Mickey back because he kept getting the same joke. They had to explain the 5 second rule, at the end of each joke he would try for another one and that does not work!)

Ouch...poor Mickey!!! LOL

I'm still unpacking from our trip this week and found the 2nd coupon that I had (we had two rooms/two separate reservations). If someone would like this coupon....just pm me.
