OK, so I've been to several stores and I've looked online and I think they don't make pajamas for this age group. So what the heck to boys sleep in?! My DS is cold in a t-shirt and lounge pants so I'm going to buy him some sweats.

Have you tried Kohl's? I was in the store last week and they had some nice sleepwear for boys.

Here's a link for online:

That link is for sleepwear and the one below is for lounge pants:

Sears had some that went up to I know a 14 and then Lands End has them up to an XL which is bigger but of course Lands End are more expensive but they last.

Or sweats work. I usually watch for thermal henleys on sale at target or Walmart or long sleeve T's to go with the sleep pants. It is a pain for boys in this age where they still wear "jammies" and you can't find any in their size but it is cold in just a T!

Try Old Navy, I just bought some PJ's for DS9 there last week. They are plaid flannel bottoms and sold seperately are long sleeved cotton "sleep" shirts, the shirts had sayings on them like: "dream on", "warning, wake at your own risk", "do not disturb". They only had 3 different kinds in my old navy and I bought all 3, they were hanging on a clothing rack along with the track/athletic pants in the back of the boys section. The items were all sold seperately and I think they were about $8 each. I am planning to check out another Old navy by my cousins house this week because DS9 loves the PJ's and they wash great, plus they don't look babyish! My DS9 normally wears a size 8 or a 10 in boys, depends on how the items are cut, he is skinny but, tall. In the PJ's I bought him the large 10/12, they are a little long and loose but, he likes them that way and it gives him room to grow over the winter.
Good luck!

All my boys sleep in their skivvies.

They lounge in track pants or "lounge" pants, but then strip down for bed.

I bought my 10 yr old some pajama's at Target. They have the short bottoms and the shirt.

But when was the last time it got to minus 26 in Florida? :rotfl:

when it gets into the double digit below zero outside I can't afford to heat the house enough to sleep in their underwear!

My DS 11 sleeps in pajama pants and a t-shirt in the winter and just in his boxers in the summer. You can buy just the pj pants about anywhere boys' clothes are sold. If it's really cold by you, just add a long-sleeved thermal shirt. Think thermal underwear, but only use the shirt.

Target had long pant sets for $10 last week and this week they were marked $7. Comfy and warm. He loves them.

My 3 oldest sleep in their underwear and the baby goes naked! I get chills just looking at them...and I have a ceramic kitchen floor! They all wake up with just their blankies...and don't let the 15 yo know I told you he still has a blankie!:rotfl: Cute and comfy PJs are at Lands End and LL Bean, IMO.

My ds usually wears pj pants (lounge pants??) and a t-shirt or sweatshirt in the winter. I have bought sweats for him just for sleeping, and he'll wear those on very cold nights.

In the summer, he'll wear boxers and a t-shirt.

Yep, the joys of living in Florida. But I doubt living in NYC or anywhere north that it is very common. I just love being where it is warm, don't you? :goodvibes

Shoot it wouldn't matter what I slept in, at minus 26 I am sure that I would be dead. Just what does that feel like? I can't even imagine.

PS never lived out of FL, visited NYC once. The coldest temp I have ever been in was here and it was 10 degrees, not wind chill, but actual degrees. I thought I would die. lol

Hell is not hot for southern weather people. It's BRRRR freking cold! I visited my inlaws Dec 2008 in Michigan/Indiana and it was -20 with even worse wind chill. I was never so miserable not even the hottest of summers.

I would have cried but my tear ducts were frozen and at -20 something your nose doesn't run from the cold because the snot is frozen. There were times I wouldn't get out of the car to use the ladies room because that was the only thing keeping me warm! I am NOT looking forward to seeing them next month as you can tell. I do have long underwear this time around though!

OP, I saw some boys pjs at Kohls and Old Navy. I bought my 9 year old hoss of a nephew some seperates at JC Penney outlet.

Yep, my son sleeps in the long pants in the winter. They don't sell shirts with them. He wears a t-shirt if he feels the need.

Actually, we have only lived here for 9 months. Before this, we were in DC for 2 1/2 years and before that, we were in Maine. They have always slept in their underwear. Hot blooded I guess.

I buy mine at Kohl's...nice selection and they wash/wear nicely.

My oldest usually sleeps in undies, but has decided he wants to wear pj's now. so it's a tshirt (if he decides to wear it) and lounge pants. Walmart had character fleece jammie pants for $7 last week. i wanted to make sure they weren't too hot for him as he normally wears just undies before I bought a bunch. so I need to go back and get a few more.... They had up to 14/16.

Coscto has organic cotton pajama's for boys that go up to size 14 or so. My 10 year old sleeps in them. Long sleeves and legs, 2 pc, very comfy. Children's Place sells something similar. They aren't thick fleece, but we sleep under down comforters here and keep the thermostat turned down at night and everyone stays at a perfect temp.
