So, DH & I decided to paint our bathroom today. overall, it turned out pretty good! even though for one little room its a lot of work! Anyway, to my question. (DH even suggested I post here to ask!) We put down the blue tape along all the edges of everything, the trim, the mirror, the door, etc. And almost everywhere, when we took the tape up, pieces of paint just peeled away, which then led to more work, of doing touch-ups. So...whats the secret? Do you take the tape off when paints still wet, or when its dry, or rip the tape off fast? What? We tried everything, and this always seems to happen to us. Any suggestions for next time?

: We've had to become obsessive about making sure the edge is down very well. We go over it 5 or 6 times very firmly to make sure it's good and stuck along the entire length. We still have a little bit of bleed, but not as much. I just long for some smooth finish drywall walls instead of all this texture stuff. We had a swirled plaster skim coat in VA, and here in FL have "orange peel" texture. Guess that's appropriate, though!
