I'm going to be painting and wanted some opinions. I've used Sherwin-Williams paint for years. Never been disappointed coverage etc have been fine.
Consumer Reports just rated house paint and Sherwin-Williams rates at the bottom. Wondering if I should switch brands but it's hard to change habits.
Behr from Home Depot is the top rated and it is much cheaper than Sherwin-Williams. I don't buy paint unless it is on sale so the price difference isn't huge but it is there.
Any insight from painters? Anyone use both brands and like one over the other and why?

I really think how your paint holds ups depends on how much abuse it gets. My kids are always putting their dirty hands all over the walls, and each paint brand I've used has been easy to clean, with no rub-off. I use the satin or low luster finish on my walls, except for the kitchen and baths. I think flat or eggshell looks the best, but it doesn't hold up well when you wash it.
. The painter doing all the painting at our new house uses Kelly Moore.
