My wife and I are visiting SoCal in May and spending some of that time at DLR with the Southern California Escape by ABD. We are spending one additional night at Disneyland on our own.

I was planning on booking Napa Rose for dinner but realized we could do the Paint the Night dining package for Carthay Circle. Is it worth giving up Napa Rose for the Paint the Night parade is what I am wondering?

Thanks!

I would just plan to see PTN from the parade route and skip the dinner package-the route will be long and I think you’ll be able to find a spot. Then you can do both:)-I would t miss the parade.

As part of the ABD you’ll likely be viewing the parade from a reserved area anyways. I would go with Napa Rose.

I love PTN and Carthay, but I'd take Napa Rose over both any day. We celebrated our anniversary there last year and it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food and service were both top notch.

Adventures by Disney. Basically a travel group; often the ones visiting SoCal get special access to Disneyland. They also have them in Europe and Asia and all across the US.

Thanks very much! Thought I was up on my Disney abbreviations! :earsboy:

I agree with this. Napa Rose is wonderful. We aren’t big on parades but Paint the Night is spectacular. But if you can do both, then that’s perfect!

Paint the Night is a great parade but to me it seems like a waste to pay extra for a view of a returning parade with a vastly expanded viewing area. Maybe I’m way off base but in my mind there are just so many places at DCA to view the parade from that it shouldn’t be hard to see it without any expensive meal plans or dessert parties. Whatever you choose, Napa Rose & Carthay are both fantastic restaurants with great food & service so you’ll likely enjoy your time & meal whichever you choose.
