Paint the night predictions

Has the paint the night parade ran during Christmas time in the past? How long do you think it will last?

I know they didn’t do a night time parade this past Christmas.

We are going in November and I’m hoping to see this. Just maybe a little hope lol.

No guess what they will do this year. But PTN did run during the holidays in 2016.

It had already been mothballed by the time Christmas rolled around this past holiday season (2017) but since they didn't even run the Christmas parade at night (as they have during many years in the past) I'd say this past year they just cheaped out.

The factors at play this year are different from past years. I've heard before that the reason they don't run normal parades during the holidays is because they can't fit two parades in the backstage behind DL, so they have to stick with just the Christmas parade. Paint the Night won't be at DL anymore so it doesn't seem like the Christmas parade would be a factor, but DCA does have the Festival of Holidays. They have typically cancelled parades during the food festival and festival of holidays because the booths are in the parade route, but previously the parade they were showing was less popular than Paint the Night, so it's possible they will try to do something different with the festival booths to make room for the parade this year.
