Paint The Night Packages "beginning 1/11/16"--BOOKING AS OF 12/8/15!!

Wow. Thanks for mentioning this. I have a PTN reservation at BB for 1/13 also. I was going to call tomorrow about something else so I'll ask about this too.
let us know what you find out --- DL website still shows nothing for shows on those dates and yet I still have my reservation! :-)

DL dining just called and cancelled my Aladdin's Oasis reservation for 1/15 saying there was a special event going on that day and they would not be taking ressies.

hahaha -- i make the reservation using my states phone number which is not in use when I am back home in Canada.....doubt they will be able to get a hold of me!!!!
what special event I wonder? since there hasn't been any adjustment to the park hours! :confused3

So I just went to see if I can book ADR's for the first week of February and it looks like they only have the first few days after 1/11 released for bookings? And it is also showing BB and RiverBelle Terrace as the options (not Aladdin's Oasis).

Someone asked the blog about viewing locations. It says:
Hi Erika! The viewing area for the dining package at Blue Bayou Restaurant is on Main Street, U.S.A. and the viewing area for Aladdin’s Oasis dining package is located near “it’s a small world.”

Wonder how big the Main Street viewing is and where?

JUST FYI... I got a call this evening saying that the PtN package was NOT being offered on Jan 18th. Luckily, we had a backup already set, so no big problem.

We had preferred seating for an old Parade with a Disney Visa package a few years ago.

Roped off seating was on a raised area across from IASW. Plenty of room for 40-50 people

I called a couple of days ago, and the dining CM confirmed that the BB area is in Main Street, but she didn't know the specific location. She chuckled and said it was a work in progress.

Hoping it all works out well for our visit!

that's cool! I wonder which section would be better? Though I'm all for eating at BB! We've never been!

I'm with Giselle on this one. I don't like it. A parade has always been "grab a seat when you can". Now it's "If you've got the money, we've got your spot". I never took advantage of this for F! or WOC. I figure I can get seats without paying. However, the prime seats are all gone, taken by those who can afford to blow an extra $$$. If I thought this was keeping ticket prices down, I wouldn't mind....but clearly it isn't.

For some people, it's worth the extra money not to have to camp out. It's not a question of having "extra $ to blow" -- it's a question of valuing that enough to pay for it. Since these things very often sell out, I'm clearly not alone in my thinking.

Vive la différence!!

The issue I have with special viewing is that every foot of reserved space is one less foot available to those willing to wait. So I do think it affects everyone else's ability to get a spot somewhat.

We could get into a debate about how many reserved spots there are, what percentage of the available decent viewing space that is, etc, etc. I'm not going to, though! :)

Given the demand, I doubt this goes away. That makes me happy as someone who thinks it's worth paying for. Plus, we were booking BB anyway. Marginal extra cost is negligible and worth it to us.

The irony is that while not a fan, I would probably book it. :p

I am one of those people who are willing to pay. I am also one of those people who grabs a bench in front of the castle 4 hours before Remember fireworks. I am not able to sit on the ground or curb so I am willing to pay to not have to stand for hours.

To me it's worth my $ for my time. I would rather pay $ to ride more rides and do more things than wait for a prime spot.

This may have been answered but I can't find it, do we have a price for the BB I also couldn't find it on DL site, we usually don't do stuff like this but I wanted to do this and the Discover the Magic tour (all though I'm not sure it will still be avail)
