I'm looking to visit Disneyland in July. What is the view of the fireworks from Dca? Does anyone know what time Paint the Night starts? If possible, I'd really like to see both.

Cannot see DL fireworks in DCA. PTN ran in DL, but will now run in DCA. Some folks have said that there should be more and easier viewing as the walkways, etc. are bigger in DCA. There were some dining packages previously but they have not announced anything that I have heard.

When PTN ran at DL it ran before DL fireworks and then, on nights when PTN ran twice, after.

We only saw it on nights it ran twice, and what we did, FWIW, we waited until PTN finished its first run, and moved quickly into the street near Coke Corner as Main Street approached the hub, and staked out a spot for fireworks. We waited for fireworks to start (like 30 minutes?), watched it from our spot, then moved quickly to a curb to stake out a spot for the second PTN.

On nights when PTN ran once before fireworks or for folks who decided to see the first parade, the prime spots on the curb on Main Street started filling up 2-4 hours before the parade started. That is why we opted for the second parade of the night.

With all that, Disney has not said anything about when PTN will start at DCA. As it is a night time parade, it will start late in May/June when the sun sets later (like 8:45PM at the earliest I would think). When it opens in April, it is hard to say. I would expect 8PM at the earliest. But Disney now has to figure out how to mesh PTN and WOC. The DCA parade route runs past WOC by the Little Mermaid ride and Disney of course does not want PTN and WOC happening at the same time. This gets more complicated when one considers nights with two WOC shows. For that reason I would be really surprised if Disney tried to run PTN twice on any nights and especially on nights when WOC shows twice.

OK, back to your question, there will not be a good view of DL fireworks from DCA. There is a sorta kinda view from Buena Vista St. especially near the Carthay Circle Restaurant.

Frankly folks would be better off watching PTN and then just making their way out of DCA and into the Esplanade and watching DL fireworks from there as happens every night anyways. If they wanted to see fireworks at DL.

Yes, Blue Bayou and Aladdin's Oasis had PTN packages in Disneyland, each with reserved viewing areas. I agree that it will be very interesting to see how PTN and WOC are scheduled, and I hope DCA doesn't turn into a complete gridlocked nightmare like DL is on Fantasmic nights.
