Corel just released an upgrade. it is only 29.99 'till sept 30, then it jumps to 59.99

I was reading the specs, additions..it looks pretty good to me..

Looks good.....even supports Oly E510 raw.

I didn't see the $29.99 offer though
did you have paint shop pro photo x2..??

when I opened the program earlier I got a pop up telling me about the upgrade special

I'm hoping it supports Sony RAW for my A700s

They dont have the 29.99 listed they just show the 59.99 and whats a trip is the download is the same cost as the box version. Why would I want to get the D/L the box is supposed to have a freee 2gb jump drive in it.

Just saw this part

Enjoy full professional power – not a “Lite” or “Elements” limited-feature version.

Ouch!

I'm a long time fan of PSP, and always go for every upgrade, but I'm not sure I see any reason to this time. If anyone upgrades from X2, please let me know what looks better, besides expanded RAW.

If some still can't find it, go to Help and select Updates, it comes up then.

the download should be cheaper since you don't have any shipping charges..

Well I just bought the download version and they charge you nine bucks for a physical shipment which I'm assuming is for the memory stick. There's no way to opt out of that, I tried.:confused3 Ah well....
Downloading now. I'll give a review once I have played.

I haven't gotten the pop-up either. I already had the message update checked and had the program check for updates and nothing. Guess it's b/c I was asking just a couple weeks ago if they were every going to support the A700. Now they figure I'll pay premium! ;) Although I did think it would be an update - not an upgrade.

Thanks, I did read that, but I just don't see much there. Working better with Vista should be an update, and most of the rest are extras, not really program changes.

I still love PSP though. :goodvibes

True true! I just did the update to 12.01 and it locked up first time around but after a reboot it was Ok. Vista can be a pain but overall I have learned to like it.

hmm I pested them several times asking about support for our cameras, and I got the pop up..

From a Digital Scrapper's point of view, the added stuff that comes with the upgrade looks very promising and will come in handy especially the back round remover plug in. The Painter X4 is sure to be fun for some cool effects too. The Nik sampler looks way cool and has the U point system in it and I'm sure once I figure it out it will be pretty handy. I haven't tried the recovery software yet or tried to import NEF files. I haven't really seen any major differences in the program itself but I haven't had a chance to really explore yet.
So for Scrapper's, worth the 29.00, Photographers maybe, but I would have been highly upset had I paid the 59.99.
