Okay, I did a search and found the thread about stamping in scrapbooking, but I don't think I got the answer I'm looking for with this question. I thought I had read before on here about people using those paints (Apple Barrell or Folk Art) for rubber stamping. Is that right? I don't want to start a debate here, just want to find out if that's the kind of paint ya'll are using to stamp with. On a side note, I saw some kind of paint markers for stamping at Wal Mart today that looked kind of interesting. The thing is, I have lots of those little bottles of paint---almost every color---so if that type is okay, I'd like to just use that.

I use acrylic paints (Delta, Folkart, Accent, etc.) on my MM foam stamps. But for some reason, call me crazy  , I won't use anything but ink from stamp pads on my Stampin Up stamps. Hope this helps.

I use pretty much anything on my foam stamps... (although I will admit now that the mm paints are available in singles, it's much more tempting than before to buy them just cause they are so dang cute!) Seriously though, I've used both the "scrapbook paints ie) the mm paints and the "regular" accrylic and can't say I've noticed a difference. (just a difference in the cuteness factor). maggie

Well, to be totally honest, I really didn't want to have to buy any more "special" supplies to scrap with. I did want to use my stamps though, so I wanted to see if I could use the acrylic paints I already have so many of.

On another side note, and not to be enabling here---while I was looking for something I needed to finish my stuff for the swap (at Wal Mart)--I noticed that lots of things had been marked down in the scrapbook section (well for that matter, the whole craft section!). I did manage to eek out a few purchases, but I tried to keep a level of restraint about myself. ;)

One of the things I did notice marked down were the paints (those little bottles of acrylics). Lots of them were 25 cents a bottle (Folk Art, Apple Barrel).

Yeah, I also use acrylic paint on my foam stamps, it works fine. Acrylic apint is so versitale on layouts, i love it.
