Painful and Weird (Part I - The Painful)

So, I was on a player quest with rare prizes. Rolling along just fine. 30 minutes until closing 8/40 tasks left to go.

Then it comes up: Go rid vmk of 40 ghosts!

Oh-no, it's like yellow car all over again! So, I find ppl to help me and get those pesky pink ghosts on first try. (Attempted to find them to thank them, but I think they dc....) Back to quest, 7 tasks to go... 20 minutes.

Go to this room, change clothes, smiles, answer questions, and so on....

10 minute warning - my vmk slows drastically, changing rooms nears impossible. Carrying on best I can ...

Two tasks to go (probably basic things as last two usually are) and -

VMK is closed. Tried to keep playing. Almost managed to do so, but dice [read Painful and Weird (Part II - The Weird) for details]. Missed completing task by - that - much. Nooo!

If vmk would have changed rooms faster... If my little characters legs would have run across rooms to click skulls and mickeys faster... If, I had just a few more minutes... Ahhh! (Addiction issues, quest highs, anyone else??)

Can you feel my pain? Anyone? ( - softly, quietly cries at computer -)

Ohhhh {{{{{{{{{Disney}}}}}}}}} ! I think you need hugs! I haven't done any of the player quests yet, but my DD Monkey has -- and from my own Tomorrowland Quest experiences...I definitely can feel your pain...

So, there I am with 2 tasks left to go on a player quest I had been working on. Full the Painful part of this story, see Painful and Weird (Part I - The Painful)
My clock hits 1:00 AM Eastern Time. I keep playing...I can do this. (Change clothes, say this, change rooms again - "Come on vmk, faster!!!")

"You are almost through. Going to VMK Central is the next thing to do."

Click Close Window.

Hit map icon.

-VMK is now closed message appears.-

Okay, don't panic. Can still do a few things. The system usually works for another minute. Keep going. You are almost done. Go! Go! Go!

Hit Main Street.
Hit VMK Central.
Map goes away. Center of screen goes black.
Come on! Go! Pleeeassse!

Hit Map Icon. Map appears.
Hit Main Street.
Center of screen goes black.
Come on! Go! Pleeeassse!
Hit Map Icon. Map appears.

Click everywhere on the map, every land, everything is there. Click any area within a land, center goes black.

Last desperate grasp - Hit map. Click advanced mode.
Hit Main Street.
Hit VMK Central.
VMK Central goes black. Everything else on Main Street remains.
Out of Advanced Mode. Back to Advanced Mode.
VMK Central goes black.

And my little character is just tapping on that glass at the VMK Central window, yelling Open, Open, Open!

Please, let me in. I just have one left thing to do......
( - continues soft, quiet cry - )

Almost thought I was going to get in there. (I swear I saw a little person in there restocking the shelves and sweeping the floor ignoring me as I was banging on the door.)

I was stuck in a little "server pocket" between open and closed. Weird, huh?
