it was such a good feeling!!!

No, nothing is paid off yet just being able to pay everything on time is such a good feeling. Weird, I know, but considering some very hard financial times in the past, it's a relief to be able to sit down, pay the bills, and know everything is up to date.

Whew!

:cool1: For you! More and more people can relate to you now a days. When you can pay the bills you really do need to remind yourself how lucky you are. And by YOU I mean WE!

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Oh I can remeber the too broke to pay anything and doing the utility shufle it was such a pain.......When my husband got his first paycheck from his present job. it was so weird to have actual enough money to pay all the bills and then have some left over, We didnt know what to do with it :lmao:

so we left the 40 dollar on the coffee table and went to bed woke up the next day and my 3 year took the money and hide it still havent found that money but it bought me one of my favorite mom stories....priceless

Isn't that a great feeling? I just received a large portion of child support arrears from my ex. I immediately sat down and paid everything up to date. It felt so good...we can answer the phone again!:woohoo:

I Agree!! I love paying bills, it gives me a sense of relief...good for u!

I remember when I used to get a pit from paying bills and now it is so freeing! I think I still get the pit out of habit and then I start and realize - wow - we really changed our spending habits!!

Congrats!

and it gets better!
We've been debt free (except the mortgage) for several years now, and being able to pay the bills without wondering where its going to come from is the most fantastic feeling.
Another thing I love. I have a grand total of five regular "bills" each month. The mortgage, three utilities and our credit card. It's soooo much easier than having a mortgage, a second mortgage, two car payments, three utilities, four credit cards, etc., etc., etc....
LOVE IT! :cool1:

That is a funny mom story, about the $40. How long ago was that? I wonder where she could have hidden it? Too funny...

we can test to that we are fnaly going the disney world this year because we are ahead.people think at my work because we are going on vaction that we have no been in the dumps. 5 years ago my daughter was born 3 yes 3 months early and 91 days in the hosp. the bills add up quick congrtas to you for finaly being caught up:banana:

Congrats....you might begin to understand why the debt free become so "evangelical" about it - because it IS such a great feeling to not worry about how the bill is going to get paid - or what do do if the washing machine suddenly needs to be replaced.

Congratulations!!!
We are also in the process of paying down our bills and it feels GREAT!!! :cool1:

Congratulations!

Oh that's a great story!

When DS was 2 he hid my debit card, and we never ever found it. When we moved, we nearly took the place apart, trying to find it...never did. Will be a mystery forever, so I can really relate!

13 years ago, she is 16 now, never found it, but we still tease her. She told us she took it when she was three, because it needed to be with her other money it was lonely, I even had the carpet replaced in her old room. Had all the vents redone no money there anymore lol ... maybe she ate it. She still hides her money away and has to look and look for it..im always teasing her about every time she cleans her room she finds money... just not my fourty....

I just did the same thing today. DH got a bonus, less then last year, but it was still enough to pay everything right now!!!!

I like this topic! I agree that it's great to be able to pay the bills because I too remember going through a time when it wasn't possible. We are still recovering from that (getting close!) but we're making steady progress and that's all that matters.
