Paid FP options coming soon to WDW?

You can still "wing it" if you choose to not reserve FastPasses as long as you don't mind waiting in lines.

Eh, not really. FP+ majorly slowed down the standby lines. I don’t mind waiting in a standby line that moves, but the start and stop to let huge FP groups in is a pain. I wouldn’t mind doing standby only if FP didn’t exist. Was better for us to just adjust our touring style and embrace FP+.

Like I said, we grew to like FP+ and used it to our advantage even though we would have preferred to not have to pre-book. We adjusted to the new system and used it very successfully.

I’m just not going to freak out about the future of FP. Will just adjust to whatever happens like we always do. That’s the beauty of being flexible and going with the flow. Disney has changed many many things in my lifetime - some for better, some for worse - and at the end of every trip, we still can’t wait to go back. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s a totally different Fastpass system so it’s hard to relate the two. It gives you a huge head start on non-MP guests, and the ability to more easily hold multiple fastpasses at once, as well as the ability to cancel FastPasses and pick up other peoples canceled Fastpasses, which you otherwise can’t do at DLR.
Um, bump.

Maxpass at Disneyland is the greatest thing! For us, we would arrive for rope drop, grab our 1st fastpass on our phone while waiting for the rope to drop.....and our day of Disneyland domination began. We would contiue pulling fastpasses on our phone as soon as we scanned through each ride using the previous fastpass. We would usually be able to get 15-20 fastpasses everyday, never waiting in any line longer than 20 minutes. We could ride the kids' favourite, Big Thunder Mountain, get off, grab another fastpass, ride it again, get off, grab a fastpass, ride it again....all while walking by the same people still standing in the standby line. It was a very easy system to figure out how to "maximize" your day. We actually avoided WDW trips because we felt FP+ would give us an inferior experience. We have been to WDW twice now since it's reopening during low crowd times.....now that we are "hooked" on WDW, I would love to see something like maxpass come. It was WELL worth the cost to have an advantage over those that either had no idea how fastpasses worked or those who didn't care to pay for it. Plus it included all of our photos with photopass.
How much is that per day?

So another busy week? I feel like they always drop news in clusters.

maybe im being hopeful, not looking forward to paid FP and hopefully that means the news will be sandwiched with something good.

I know nothing except that an insider on the other forums just bumped that thread with a soon message.
Definition of "soon" according to Merriam-Webster : without undue time lapse; in a prompt manner.

Reminds me of a conversation between me and DH when asking when he will be home .......... soon.

How much is that per day?

When it was first launched in 2017 it was $10 per person/ per day. That also included all photo pass downloads as well. After a year or so, it went to $15 per person/ per day. It was $75 for annual passholders to add on for the year. Then it went to $100 for the year.
We purchased it everytime. It was well worth the little bit extra.
