I've watched his videos in the past, I can't say anything about his track record as I've never paid attention to rumors from him before. But who are these people? Do they actually have a trqck record of being correct. I've never heard of them and no one else so far is saying this.
Right. I've got a 12 day stay coming up with 10 park days. Granted, that's exceptionally long due to Covid-19 reschedules, but that would be $1000-$3000 per person. So for my family of 4, it's $4000-$12000 for the entire trip!Seems like this type of system would incentivize shorter stays or at least be more appealing to folks with shorter stays.
You wouldn't have to buy it and most wouldn't. Most would still use the regular standby lines.Right. I've got a 12 day stay coming up with 10 park days. Clearly I wouldn't have to buy it. Just giving a sense of the cost if a family like mine would want to consider it.You wouldn't have to buy it and most wouldn't. Most would still use the regular standby lines.

Not that I’m giving any credence to this rumor, but someone could only buy four days of “lightning pass” even if they had more park days.Just giving a sense of the cost if a family like mine would want to consider it.
That sign has been missing for a while. We discussed it here back in March.Another FP+ sign removed at space mountain at MK today.![]()
The jist of it is it will be part of Genie and the average price would be between $100 to $300 per person per day. It would also change to be more like Universal's system in that you no longer have to pick a time to come back.
I would be all over that. My time is worth the added cost. We have actually avoided DisneyWorld because of the lack of paid get out the dang line pass.
We go to Universal once every couple years as a family, and I go on girls trip in the non family trip years. We stay at Hard Rock, family trips we stay club level.
I am not sure if we are the target customer base for Disney. We would not get get APs, or stay on site, though the Wilderness Lodge has a pleasant restful look in pictures. We would not likely visit yearly.
But, hells ya would I be all over a paid express pass.
It does for me if I'm able to avoid long waits.Lets assume the high end of this is correct. Let's assume(and I believe this absolutely) they do away with Annual Passes like Land.
Now let's you have a family of 4. Your daily cost for tickets and the new "lightning pass" would be $1680. That's for no lodging, no parking, no merch, and no food. Sound like a good time?

I'd be all for this! I'm DVC and the times we stay on cash we usually stay deluxe. Throw in this hypothetical "lightning pass" and it's all the better! Here's where I think things could get interesting. If they followed Universal, they could throw in "lightning pass" for Deluxe or DVC stays. It would also be one heck of an incentive to get folks to buy DVC direct. As they take more onsite perks away, this could single handedly make it 100% worth staying onsite for many guests.
