For me it's not at all about the "women" who participate in pagents. They seem nice enough to me.
It's the people who run them! If your not drop dead gorgeous with a Barbie doll figure, you're not welcome to participate! I for one know lots of people who are not necessarily pretty, but who I would be proud to represent me as an "American Ambassador"! And that's what Miss America et all is supposed to be right?
Now as for the pagents for the young "girls". I have serious issues with that!
