A while ago I posted a link to what was happening on the Cruise boards. It's very lengthy so I'll do a brief recap. A few months ago a woman asked how they could go about requesting an upgrade to a veranda cabin for their terminally ill son. They knew that this would probably be his one and only cruise and their family had been through so much that they wanted this to be a trip of a lifetime. To make a long story short, a wonderful DISer - Verandah Man - kind of adopted them and made it his mission to make sure that they were taken care of. Some "Angel in Disguise" upgraded them to a wonderful verandah room and made sure they were treated like VIPs the whole trip. Its a very heartwarming story and if you have the time (A LOT of time) you should check out their story on the cruise boards.
Anyhow, if anyone's interested check out this incredibly touching letter from the mom (Chris) about the wonderful day they had on beautiful Castaway Cay: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?threadid=443209
I'm sorry to hear that little Nate is not feeling well. Let's all send good thoughts to the Page family.
