Page failures

I have intermittently experienced this too, though not that much until I came to this thread and saw it twice in 30 seconds!

I have noticed my tablet and phone (neither of which have ad blockers), there's now "redirects" or full page ads that come up while on the Dis (in addition to the "oh snap" pages). I wonder if the "oh snap" pages are where ads "didn't quite make it"?

I wonder about that too. I have an ad blocker on my laptop but not my tablet or phone and I get the "oh snap" on all three devices. I do use Chrome on all of them.

Still happening here on my home PC (I use Microsoft Edge). I never access this site on my phone as the screen is too small and difficult to navigate, but that is true of every website. I just click 'refresh' when it happens and things return to normal. Not that big of a deal, more what I would consider a nuisance. Site still works, just have to click an extra button to get back there.

If you are typing a LONG reply, make sure to periodically 'save' it. Have had a few times where I was still formatting/pasting and then what I had input was lost..................LOL.

Don't know about anyone else, but now I'm also getting the error AFTER being on a page. So, click on a link, go to the page, start reading, then the error pops up. I haven't put a timer on it, but I'd say it happens after being on a page for 5-15 seconds(?).

Yes. I don't think it's bad to say "still experiencing the problem AND it's gotten "worse"".
No, it isn't bad. I think it is odd that Corey is getting the error as well and it we're going on three weeks without a solution.

If the problem is background software that this site doesn't own, not surprising it might take time for some 3rd party to revise it. That other company would have to make the necessary programming revisions, test it and insure it doesn't impact anything else when they make changes. Likely this isn't the only programming they are working on, so it gets prioritized with everything else in their pipeline.

Still getting this problem. If I plan on posting in a thread I just type some gibberish into the message and go look for my photo to post. That seems to "hold" the page/post for the time I need (most of the time anyway).

Still happening to me. I went a couple days where, although still happening, wasn't as much, BUT I *WAS* getting full page ads (and closing the ad took me back to the previous page, so I had to click the link again to get where I wanted to go).

I really think this is an issue with implementation of ad "redirects" (don't know if it's the proper term or not). If these page failures are supposed to be ads and I'm going to get that many ads just while trying to browse, I might have to rethink things.

I fear too that these page failures are due to new ad implementation that may end up being so disruptive it renders the boards unusable. I get that the DisBoards need to generate revenue but I also think part of the reason they were started was to stoke up interest in Disney and thus increase traffic to the Dreams Unlimited Travel Agency, thereby generating revenue. Hopefully the desire to increase revenue doesn't ruin the whole thing.

The whole site is very unstable now - it seems due for a major overhaul

It is definitely getting worse.
No issues here on my Win 10 laptop using Firefox. Note that I do use non ISP provided DNS servers for improved performance of DNS lookups.

I use Cloudflare - 1.1.1.1 and Quad 9 - 9.9.9.9 as specific setting for my laptop Network TCP/IP configuration.
