We stayed in the Paddock Area a couple of weeks ago, when it was very hot. We only went to the Paddock Pool twice - all the rest of the days we went to the pool at the Springs.
The pros are of course very close if you are staying at the Paddock.
There are a lot of activities through the day: fun pool party and games, etc.
The slide is very fun.
There is a food and a table area.
The kiddie splash area looks fun, but to be honest my kids (7,5,3) didn't really play much there - in fact not many kids were using it.
Cons:
The hot tub was actually the same temp as the regular pool - not sure why - this must be a fluke?
Very little shade - during the water balloon toss everyone was burning their feet even though the lgs were throwing water on the deck.
It is very shallow - mostly just gets to maybe 3.5 feet. There is one tiny area that may be 4 feet deep.
It is pretty small, especially for the amt of people using it at the time we were there.
Did I say very little shade?
I'm sure in the fall or winter it will be nice, but we found it PACKED with people and no shade. I should also say Congress Park's pool was closed for maint during our stay. We preferred the nice stroll across the bridge to the Springs Pool where we could get a table in the shade. My kids like the fountain area there a lot, and the tiny water slide. It just worked better for us this trip.
