Paddlefish or Boathouse?

I agree with PP, but I have tried each place. But only once each. To be fair, Paddlefish had only been open a few weeks when we went. I thought it was grossly overpriced, service was not very good, and the food was meh. Boathouse is a more "fun" and interesting place IMO, but I must be honest (again, this is ALL so subjective) but we were NOT impressed. Full disclosure we did not order entrees but only adult beverages and apps. I have heard good reports about Boathouse. A LOT more good reports coming to me about Boathouse than Paddlefish and I live 10 minutes away from DS. :cutie:

We've been to both and have found Boat House to be far superior. It's become one of our favorite restaurants on property. :yay:

I generally avoid both, but if I had to pick one I'd go with Paddlefish. I think that Boathouse is the most overrated and overhyped restaurant on property. The food is mediocre at best, the service is adequate but nothing special (think Outback Steakhouse), and it's extremely overpriced.

Back when Paddlefish was Fulton's, I thought it was excellent for quite some time, but it too went downhill quickly in the later years of its existence. Paddlefish has brought some life back to the place, but I still don't see it as anything "special." I do, however, like their menu options better, and I think their seafood is slightly superior to Boathouse, so that's why I'd give it the win in this comparison.

Agree it is subjective but of course in the vein of subjectivity I of course have found objectivity.

We've only eaten at each of them once but I found Paddlefish to be grossly overpriced and the service horrible. While the food and drinks we had were good - and the view from the top deck cannot be beat - they were not worth the cost.

On the other hand Boathouse has a huge range of prices which enables you to go wherever your stomach wants. We found their seafood to be good, but oddly their hamburger eclipsed the seafood options.

Just personal opinion, but after two meals at each we felt that the cocktails were far better at the Boathouse, but that the food (at least the seafood entrees) were better at Paddlefish.
