Paddle Boating?

My girlfriend and I will be staying at Wilderness Lodge for the week of July 8th. She just told me randomly yesterday that she used to go to her family's vacation house on a lake and went paddle boating all the time during the summers there. And that she misses it so much. So...knowing that WL and the other deluxes (GF, poly, etc.) are also on the water around MK, I figured I could rent a paddle boat for us for a few hours and go out on the lake for a bit.

Where can we rent a paddle boat for us for the day/half-day? By Contemporary? I did a little bit of research but I figured it'd be much easier if I just ask on here.

I've never seen any but according to the Disney website they do have pedal boats which I assume are the same as a paddleboat. I have seen canoes over by Fort Wilderness. Here is a link to the Disney info

yes yes...pedal boats. I just checked the Disney website myself and saw the same exact webpage about those rentals. I gotta admit though...being in one of those pedal boats (which my gf would probably love), it's gonna really stink watching people zip past me on those one-person jetboats! First off...I wanna drive one! lol, and secondly...we're gonna be going a snail's pace and they're gonna fly by us! It should be fun though. I thought I had to travel over and rent them by Contemporary or something. I didn't know WL had its own rental service. Thanks!

I have seen pedal boats for rent at the OKW marina.

Actually, two people can ride in those small boats, as long as you don't exceed the weight limit. I can't remember the exact weight, but I think it is around 275 - 300 pounds. I know when my DS was younger we both rode in one boat.

They aren't really jetboats, they have a small outboard motor. They don't move super fast, but it seems fast because you're so close to the water. They're a lot of fun - just watch out for the wake from the other boats, especially the ferry boats going back and forth between the TTC and the Magic Kingdom.
