As for the second link...What does suicide have to do with being a pack rat? I didn't see any mention of her being a pack rat in the story. Sorry it took so long to find her though.

The basement was so cluttered that they didn't find her body for months. She was reported missing in March and they found the body in December.

"There was no indication that the body had been moved at any time between death and the body's discovery, but the cluttered condition of the basement may account for why the body was not discovered previously," the office said in a statement.

Even with the clutter in the basement (second news story) I can't understand how the family continued to live in the house. The smell must have been terrible.

The first story reminds me of The Simpsons episode where the same thing happened to Principal Skinner and the police blame Bart and the mafia for his disappearance

there was a woman in the town i live in that was killed when her house caught fire...she was such a pack rat that the firefighters could not reach her in time...the house then had to be destroyed because it was a biological hazard...she was such a packrat that she even bottled her urine and saved that...
