Thank you for the laugh! My 15 yr old DD came in to see what I was laughing at. She looked at the jeans, camis and flip flops and saw nothing wrong with that so I know exactly how you feel! She did say that she was going to save the jeans for the evenings when we have all our table service ADRs.
I also know the feeling of going broke before even leaving town. This prep work is draining! I have the PasPorter Book and have copied the packing list for each of my kids. They have until Friday to tell me what they still need or they will be wearing dirty clothes until I can wash clothes.
Good luck!! I feel for you!!
Glad to see someone else can share in my humor...NOT! It feels like a constant arguement about clothes, hair, makeup and so on and on and on. I guess it is all my fault since I have spoiled her so much, so I only have myself to blame.
I also have the passporter book but I don't think I will be taking it to the parks with me...I will look at it the night before and maybe plan out each day that way. I know where we are going each day, just not what we will do while there...ADRs are made too for each day.
Looks like you might be there around the same time as me. How old are your other kids? I have a 11 year old buy besides my daugher of 15. I kinda wish at night or something, they had a teenage event going on or something. It would be nice for my daughter to be able to mingle with kids her own age while they are there. Have a social hour or something. The character dining is ok but they need to have something fun for the older kids to do. they could even have it at pleasure island in one of the night clubs like once or twice a week at like 6-8 or something, anything.
Anyways...back to the packing thing. I have convinced my daughter to bring little, if any short sleeved shirts...and I tried to tell her to bring ONE hoodie zip-up in case the restaurants are chilly...of course she wants to bring a hoodie to match each camis...also shoes are a big issue...she wants to bring flip flops to match everything, Vans sneakers, Chuck Taylor sneakers, and a dressy pair of sandal (which she can't even hardly walk in cause they are higher heals)...what is wrong with these young girls?? I need a suitcase just for her shoes.
Oh and speaking of the amount of something to bring...you should see the CDs she wants to bring. She has MP3 but noooooo she wants to bring the CDs to play in the car on the way so she can drive me nuts by changing the tracks every minute...and yelling 'oh I love this song'....'this song rocks, it is my favorite'...and so on.
Oh and another thing...she has to bring jewlry to match everything too...again...not to mention the hair thing...she has curl hair and straightens it...so guess we will be waiting aroung tapping our toes in the morning waiting for her to iron-fry her hair...only to see later, after walking around in the heat and getting on rides, her hair being back to not only her natural curls but also a natural frizzzzz! Then if she happens to see herself in the mirror in one of the restrrooms...look out...she will immediately become very cranky (can't say what she will really become...bad language) and she will want to 'run' back to the hotel to straighten it again.
These are only my predictions of what will happen but maybe I am all wrong and she will handle all this differently and surprise me.
Hey don't think Vicotria is a spoiled, hateful, cranky, moody etc....15 year old...she actually is a very sweet girl...she is just that...a teenage girl...and hopefully this is where I can add normal??
Ok you have listen to me for too long...sorry...just venting parenting struggles of a teenager!!
