Besides the basics, I received some really great ideas on the DIS for items to pack and I also came up with a few myself, so I thought I would share the ones that were the most useful, and maybe others could as well.
1. Wet Ones. We used them on numerous occassions (2 adults no kids
) and we also gave one to a mom in need one time.
2. The largest size of ziploc bag that they make. Very useful for storing cameras, souvenirs, etc... on water rides as well as storing wet ponchos in your backpack or wet shoes from a water ride. We also gave one to a mom in need once.
3. Olay Daily Facials Express face cleansing cloths. These are awesome! They are basically like the Oil of Olay daily facial cloths, but they are already wet. I hate washing make up off on white hotel washcloths. With these, you just wipe them on your face, no foam, no mess, and they even remove waterproof mascara. No need to even dry your face, it's dry within seconds.
4. Waterproof Band Aids. I knew to take band aids, but I was surprised at how useful and necessary the waterproof ones were.
5. A journal. Every night we would reflect on what we did that day, write a few notes and then each comment on our favorite/least favorite parts of the day. You are so busy there that things tend to run together, and the journal was so helpful in our quest to soak it all in and not forget anything. It was really helpful in writing my trip report too
It will be fun in a few months to read it and remember all the little details that we may forget.
6. Meal Vouchers from Hotwire. I cannot say enough about how great these things are! They were lifesavers for us. Let me know if you want more info.
I'll keep thinking for more
Anyone else care to share? We don't have any kids, so maybe some moms or dads could share some tips for packing with kids?
