Packing Tips...

My family rolls their clothes up.
It really helps to get all of the clothes that we want to take without having to take extra suitcases full of clothes (ex: jeans and sweatshirts).
My sister now rolls her clothes to keep in her dresser at school.

One more DIS tip that we LOVED...

The Palmolive dish wipes. All you do is add a little water and wipe your dishes down. They were great for washing our refillable POP mug. We only used about 5 out of the pack, but we brought the rest home and use them at home for those stubborn pots and pans that the dishwasher hates.

Here's a tip for those that have something like a 4-piece luggage set that fits into eachother (small bag fits into medium rolling bag which fits into large rolling suitcase which fits into ex. large suitcase).

We pack the large suitcase with our clothes and then put it into our ex. large suitcase. This way, once we get there, we already have an extra large suitcase that is empty for souvenirs!

1.For those of you who have contacts, carry the small travel size contact solution with you to the parks. You never know when you can get a speck of dust in your eye, which can be REALLY annoying.
2.When carrying a lot of luggage (I think my family of three has about seven bags or more) if the person is old enough, have each person keep track of specific items. That way each person in my family has one suitcase and one carry on to worry about, instead of everyone wondering about ALL the luggage.
3.Also, if you have some sort of journal or binder to keep your Disney plans and ideas in. This way you know exactly where everything is instead of saying "OK, the plane tickets are in the carry on, the room keys are in my black purse, the maps are in the car, uuuummmm where are the pack passes?"
4.Some sort of small flashlight or nightlight, when looking under the bed for a lost map, or just trying to get to that bathroom that is only about ten feet away, it can be very helpful. :p

I have to say, the Dollar Store is the BEST place to get those little things that make a difference on trips.

We have Dollar Tree out here, and I just love them. I went yesterday, to get ready, and I got:

a 12 pocket shoe hanger for toiletries -

packs of disposable rain ponchos (2 in a pack) -

a vinyl-backed flannel tablecloth which we'll put down to sit on for the parade - much nicer than a plastic bag, but just as disposable (we'll put this in a locker until we get a space, then send a runner to get it) -

a box of the disposable Palmolive dishwipes -

sugar and teabags (we're staying in a studio at BWV, and we're big tea drinkers) -

mini flashlights with lanyards for MNSSHP -

pass holder necklace things (don't know the correct term for these) to carry PHP and such -

and a bunch of the really big 'swirly' Mickey lollipops to share with my DS's and the kids!

and everything was - A DOLLAR! Gotta love the Dollar Store!
