Hi!

Just wondering if anyone here has any cool packing tips?
And when do you start packing? And how many bags do you take?
Thanks :)

You can fit more clothes on your bag if you roll them. Fold them like you usually do then just roll them up. Since we have been driving for the past 3 years, I usually only take 2 bags. My suitcase and a bag to keep like my ipod, phone, and just stuff for the car ride. I start packing like 5 days before

If you are flying, you are limited on how many bags you can bring. Each person can check one, then each person is allowed to have 2 carry ons i think. (it can be one carry on per person) But im pretty sure its 2. Always make sure you have enough space for souveniers. You never know what you may go home with :)

Have an awesome trip!!

I'll put in my two cents:

Have a pair of clothes for each day you'll be away & fold them. My parents have this special compartment bag thing for toiletries like deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.

Camera's and other electronics can be put in a backpack that can be used as carry on if you're flying.

Roll all your clothes
Ziplocs will become your best friend
Utilize the space you have
Don't overpack but don't sacrifice the stuff that you need

I can usually fit everything I need for 10 days at the World into a medium sized duffel bag perfectly(:

It's mostly because my parents are divorced and I switch houses every week so I'm an extremely quick and good packer. But it's also because I'm super OCD organized.

Planning is key, my dear. If you'd ever like my packing list, just PM me.

I used to be OCD, but that flew out the window a while ago. LOL

Okay, Thanks! :)

Ziploc bags that you can suck teh air out of them so they are air tight. then for 7-10 days it only takes up less than half of a suitcase! MY mom has a bag for all teh shampoos and deoderent and stuff like that. Since we have 5 in the family and the youngest one is only 4 we only take 3 suitcases! my rents share a bag and then me and my sis and then the 3rd has the lil bros stuff in it and that doesnt take up much room so we usually have snacks in that one since we have a 4 year old we have to take snacks or we would spend A LOT on snacks in the parks, and then there is still room in the bag so the rest of the space is suvoneer (sp?)!! Then my mom takes a care on for stuff for my lil bro to do on the plane to keep him occupied and then i have a carry on mine has my camera, ipod, phone, and GUM, and it also has my moms camera in it! My older sis has a carry on and she has her camera, ipod, phone, and other stuff for her then she has the video camera in hers. MY dad takes 2 carry ons one is his cpac machine and the other is his laptop and he only takes that as a carry on so my lil bro cam type his name and watch movies

So all together as a family of 5 we take 8 bags (suitcases and carry ons)!! but for me just 1 1/2...

I start packing about a week in advance but do most of my packing the day before!! =( bad habbit to get into....my family is usually past 11:30 for sure most of the time we dont get much sleep but i try to sleep on the way to the airport since it is a 2 1/2 hour drive!

Instead of folding your clothes, try rolling them. Especially tshirts and lighter clothes. It saves room and your clothes won't get all wrinkled from being folded and stuffed into a suitcase, probably with other stuff on top of it.
