We made the mistake on our first trip to Disney of bringing enough stuff for the whole trip. We spent a week at Disney and 3 days on the beach. I packed enough clothes plus extras for 3 kids and 2 adults. Plus alot of food/beverages we'd need. The medicine cabinet. etc. Way Too Much!! And By the end of the trip the kids were out of socks. We had these huge bags of stinky clothes to take home And then spent forever doing laundry once we got back home.
Last year we had a 5 month old added to that mix. We were to be gone 2 weeks that trip so I packed one week's worth of stuff for everyone but the baby. I packed him a bit more since I knew he'd use 3 outfits a day. For him I brought one week's worth of essentials like diaper, formula etc. I then went to wal-mart and restocked half way through the trip.
At Disney I found it easy to get laundry done. Our room was just around the corner from the laundry room wich was just a few feet from the quiet pool. In the evening when we would go out to the pool for a swim I'd throw two loads in at once, swim with the kids, change it over, and it would be done long before they were tired of swimming.
It was nice not having those big trash bags of stinky clothes to take home. And I only had one or two loads of laundry to do when we got home.
This year we are newly dvc so I'm so looking forward to having a washer/dryer in our unit. I know many are opposed to doing laundry on vaction; I'm more opposed to spending two days doing laundry when I get home. LOL
