OK, for an 8 day/7 night trip with two kiddos (6 and 9) how many outfits/shoes do you pack? I pack each day in a ziploc but with the new luggage fees I'm trying to condense the amount I take.

Thanks!

an outfit for each day, unless i have a washer and dryer, i dont use onsite washrooms. we have 5 so that means lots of clothes, but it scares me not to have enough for everyday, plus with all the sweating, yuck.
for shoes, we all bring our sandals for everyday walking, then we each bring flip flops or crocs(my hubby only wears sneakers) for evening wear.
the only outfit we wear twice is the traveling outfit, whatever they wear on the plain down, they can wear back.

just got back from an 8 day/7 night and I have 4 children... 2 are 9 and 1 is 5 (the 9 yr olds are B/G and the 5 yr old is G)

I packed 1 new shirt/short or shirt per DD for 5 days. For DS he had 1 new shirt plus a total of 4 shorts for the 1st 5 days. On day 6 I did laundry, the girls had on clean clothes for their morning cooking adventure, DS wore jammies for breakfast in our room and then into swimsuit. I washed a huge pile of clothes for our family of 6...3 washing/4 drying(had to dry 1 thru twice)

Then for Day 7 everyone had a new clean shirt and repeat bottom and on Day 8 it was all repeat.

Plus I had an emergency outfit 1 per child, which everyone wore for a change of clothes 1 night for the Neverland Club. I also had an extra tank top for the 5 yr DD for under a costume, which she ended up wearing for 1/2 of our first day cause she got the orginal shirt dirty.

So recap:

DS (9) had 6 shirts 4 shorts 1 pair jammies, 1 extra shirt/short, a few socks and 12 underware (1 for day, 1 for sleeping) and swim trunks and shirt for to/ from pool

DD (9) had 6 shirts 5 shorts/skirts, 1 extra shirt/shorts, a few socks, 12 underware, 1 pair jammies, and swimsuit and cover-up

DD (5) had same as above DD plus 1 extra tank top and emergency in park short & underware (didn't end up using those though)

DD (18 mo) had 6 outfits, plus 2 extra onesie style shirts and shorts, 2 jammies, and a few white onesies, swim suit, swim bottoms and shirt, plus diapers (she wore everything except the white onesies)

Just so you know we had 6 airline seats and 5 checked bags going, 6 coming home.

Hope that helps a bit, obviously this plan only works if you can and plan to do laundry.

Good Luck!

We are family of 5, 3 kids (11, 11, & 5) With airlines charging per checked bag, we are only checking one large bag & a smaller one (empty duffel inside for souveniers home.) I am bringing 4 outfits, 2 swimsuits, 2 pjs, 8 underwear, crocs & flip flops each, plus DD5's special dresses for CRT and Chef Mickeys. We will be doing laundry onsite mid week (also staying for 9 days). DH is an accountant & he figured out that w/ checked luggage fees ($35/$25 ) it is actually cheaper to have the hotel do the laundry for you! However, the Nick Hotel does not offer this service :(

We are a family of 5 (dh, me dd7, ds not quite 5 but almost, dd2).

I am planning 2 outfits per day for all of us since we are going in August (OK I do that in colder months too).

My plan is to do laundry every other day if not every day.

My goal is 2 smaller sized suitcases but if I only brought one I'd be beyond thrilled but I know that is not going to happen.

As for shoes, most likey 2 per person.

We bring at least two outfits a day (we go in Sept and you NEED two outfits a day-it's HOT!!!). I have never done laundry. We won't be affected by the bag fees this time so I'm debating if I'm going to have to do laundry on this trip (we are going for 9 days this time). I'll be bringing Tide packets just in case.

we are a family of 4 DH, Me DD 5 and DD 11 months
we are flying SW we bought our tickets in May we will have 3 seats and will be able to take 2 suitcases per ticket. I am trying to decide how many outfits to take we will be their 9 nights and 10 days. i am also trying to decide if I want to try to pack baby food or order from one of the grocery delivery sites.

Wow, thanks for all the replies! I think I'm going to have to suck it up and do laundry one day while I'm there. The biggest thing for me (and this prob sounds silly) is I hate using the same clothes multiple days just because of the pictures.

This makes my head hurt just thinking about it.
